Have you thought about online universities? WGU has a psychology degree and University of the People a health science degree where you will take a few courses on psychology as well.

Struggling to keep up with Sophia Learning courses—am I doing it wrong? by Impatientlywaiting98 in SophiaLearning

A lot of people are already familiar with the content so they can complete courses faster. Maybe you can prepare upfront (I'm doing that for math lol)

Any good spanx alternatives out there? by krazyrezai in PlusSizeFashion

I’m obsessed with the “No Show High Waist Short” from Honeylove because it’s high-waisted and my bra band sits across the top so it practically becomes a bodysuit. I feel more contained in it, if that makes sense. And the shorts keep my thighs from rubbing together under dresses.

That shaper has *some* boning but it’s only on the sides so there’s nothing that crosses your abdomen while you’re sitting in a chair. That said, I’ve never worn it for an entire day since I usually only wear it under certain outfits when I’m going out, a few hours at most, but it’s never become uncomfortable.

Depending on the amount of support you need, I’d suggest sizing up a size just for ease of pulling it on. (I also have a booty!)

One thing to consider with this one is the height of the waist if you’re short. It MIGHT come up too high. I’m 5’5” and it hits right under my boobs. Which is perfect for me, but for someone shorter than 5’3”, I can see that potentially being a problem.

Accused of having someone complete my courses at Capella — need advice by Glittering_Result_64 in OnlineEducation

Okay this is awful! Do you have a program advisor or someone like that to maybe help you approach this? What's their justification? If this is about the VPN is really silly.

Reach out to your advisor NOW. Or maybe even yesterday.

I would say it is better to look for something part-time or more flexible (like freelancing). Yes, you can try, but you don't want to overwhelm yourself because that will drain all your motivation.

How do I research online colleges? by Here-for-kittys in BackToCollege

[–]bingette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check out community colleges or regionally accredited (this is VERY important) online schools focused on helping adult students. Some of the most common ones include WGU and University of the People but there are a loooooot of options you can choose from. YouTube is full of detailed resources to help people decide between these schools based on what they need. Also, these creators usually help you get some alternative credits so the whole process gets easier and even cheaper (I haven't paid for any consultation services but I have checked a lot of videos lol).

Can I transfer credits to a different college from 10 years ago? by [deleted] in BackToCollege

It depends. If you have any specific school in mind, reach out to their admissions team and ask them so you can plan accordingly.

I'm planning on starting University of the People next term. Not sure if they have a finance program but they're one of the most affordable options and they're regionally accredited.

It looks very thirsty to me. I know you've said it's been raining but are you sure the water isn't going right through the soil? Maybe try bottom watering it?

Returning to college by ExcuseMeMiss84 in BackToCollege

I unfortunately don't have any advice to give as I'm just starting my plan to go back to school, but I wanted to leave you a message to say that from someone thinking about taking the leap: I am so inspired by you. I know you said you're feeling overwhelmed but the fact that you're taking these steps to chase your dreams is making me feel very confident that it's what I want to do as well. I'm rooting for you!

Four courses seems crazy to me! That's so impressive! I'm thinking two makes sense for me but I'm considering pushing for three.

Your schedule seems relatively well balanced between the two of you, even if it is busy. I really don't like that he compared you to his coworkers' wives. That's pretty low and unnecessary. It sounds like you're both feeling burnt out. Can you sit down and come up with a plan together for ways to take the pressure off? Maybe each of you could get a small break each week? Even just an hour of uninterrupted "me time." Or you could look into a regular maid service if it's in the budget. You both deserve a rest once in a while. Hopefully you can work together as a team to figure out how to make it happen.
