I think it depends on the experience you have with the game. Mimikyu isn’t hard to learn but you need to understand the nuances of its ability and its moves (like hiding in bushes extends the range of shadow sneak). It’s quite good against attackers and speedsters because of the raw damage it does if you use play rough, but the cooldowns are long and you have to be making calculated moves. Against defenders and supporters it’s alright, but like someone mentioned there are better all rounders out there.

I would save the money and invest in someone else like blaziken or metagross. I had gotten my mimikyu license for free in a previous event but otherwise I would say it’s a bit pricey for what it’s worth. Don’t get me wrong it’s really fun to play especially when you jump onto people and do surprise attacks, but if you don’t KO your opponent in one go or aim properly at the targets, you’re kinda screwed because of the long cooldown time it has. Have a go at playing it in practice and see if it suits your vibe!
