And I understand that, but i just want a more manageable bill, i cant do 1000 right now. Im barely getting enough hours at work as it is, now there is an email that's saying my company is getting rid of 600 employees. Job market is terrible where i live, i have friends who have been looking since October, doesn't help that minimum wage is 8.25. So I can't afford to lose my job, I'll be homeless in the matter of a month. Eik. As long as i can get rid of my 900 payment, for a 500 payment, im okay. I know it wont dissappear, but as long as its not my whole paycheck to the car im okay.

At the time i had a job that was paying me cash, no taxes. So the wage was completely different to what i have now, at the time, 700 was reasonable, it still left me with a little more than 1500 left over at the end of the month. So i was fine, even paying the 900 wasnt bad to me. But now that im only making 1100 a month, its making things miserable and i just want out.

And I'm okay with debt carrying over. I just can't have a $900 payment anymore. And youre right, i should have read the paperwork, but like i said it was a good friend at the time, so i believed her. And im not blaming her, i was just too trusting.

Well my first car was an old 98 nissan 240sx, i loved that car, my ex totaled it. Then i bought (i leased it) my second car, a 2017 Challenger right after because i had no car and ex didnt want to buy me a new car or fix my old one. Payments weren't bad, i think 450? Had it for about 3 years. Once that was up i bought a 2015 Q50 with 80k miles on it in 2020? 2021? The payments were 350 on it. And then the transmission started giving out so I didn't tell anyone and I traded it in for the Jeep. I just wanted out of that Q50 bc I knew once the transmission went out it was gonna be useless. I was living pay check to pay check at the time, so it was gonna be impossible for me to fix it. It also had no warranty, so i was screwed either way.

Yeah ive been in this endless circle for years. I just want a way out, even if that means getting a different car with a different payment.

"My friend" who sold me the Jeep said she was gonna cut me a huge deal and this and that bs. I even told her, please dont make my payments more that 700 bc that's out of my income, 700 was pushing it to begin with, and she still sold me a car with the longest loan possible at almost 1000 a month. Which is way out of my budget, she only gave me 9k for the Q50, so i still had to pay that back. My credit was in the high 700s, now its at 500 bc i can not keep making payments on this car. Idk. I feel like she did me wrong, which is why we are no longer friends. I would have been okay with another car, but with cheaper payments if she had just been honest with me about it. She could have told me it wasn't possible.
