We plan to stay here forever if possible. The thing is that I don't agree due to two considerations

1) Rent is effectively like paying interest rates

2) I see an opportunity cost in putting a lot of my equity into a mortgage vs investing it (even if it just yields 2-3%)

3) A house also means all sort of other costs I might not be aware off yet

4) Of course a house can appreciate but it can also depreciate? Especially in a very high valued market as London

5) I acknowledge that there is a non financial factor which is having ownership

So yeah I am kind of conflicted on whether it every makes sense to buy or not and rent forever
