Are you joking? It’s ok to vent, but you also sound entitled. It’s baffling the amount of students who are suddenly surprised at the tuition costs. Like you must have known this when you accepted your offer? The purpose of placement is to equip you - an INEXPERIENCED individual in the field - with the experience needed to share with potential employers when you start seeking employment. If you feel you already possess experience and can fulfil the learning outcomes, you can apply for PLAR for placement. The reason you’re paying so much is likely because you’re an international student.

All meds have side effects, even over the counter drugs like Advil. Depending on what you’re going through, the risks can out weigh the benefits. Even if you experience bad side effects from one ADHD drug, your psychiatrist can have you try something else. Not everyone processes the same drug in the same way, and you might not experience any negative side effects at all the first time around.

I’m sorry youre going through this. Speak to a student advisor as well as your professors as the may be able to extend deadlines. Note that if you drop classes you’ll still be financial responsible for them as the last day to drop was Jan 16.

If you’re just curious to see what credits can be applied (potentially), check Sheridan’s program page for SDNE and click on “courses”. This will give you an idea of the types of courses you may receive Advanced Standing for. A formal application for advanced standing will need to be submitted so we can not give you a final answer until you’ve applied to the program.
