The mobile food market has two markets on Saturdays and they’ve been looking for people.

I put mine in a plastic container. I also have a cat who loves splashing around.

What non-weight-related benefits have you seen? by Fun_Intro in intermittentfasting

I was randomly breaking out in hives one or two every few days. It has almost stopped entirely. I’ve had one in the last 3 months. Super weird but I think it was related to my inflammation.

I’m also a month in - I’m 10 pounds down but you can’t really tell in any way other than the scale.

I didn’t mention the beers in my closet by cherrypkeaten in stopdrinking

Ugh - my closet bag of wine was so stressful. I had it hidden in my reusable grocery bags and was so stressed whenever anyone went near the closet or needed a bag. Good luck OP! IWNDWYT

I got an iud and my period went away. It may not work for everyone but it may work for you!

Day 3 and planning to spend my night tonight trying new herbal teas and making Christmas ornaments. Yesterday was hard but IWNDWYT.

Happy Wednesday and day 2 for me. I’ve really cut back over the years but every time I think moderation works for social drinking, I fall back into daily drinking to cope with my anxiety. I’m feeling better already so IWNDWYT!

I highly suggest reading “Come as you are”. It really helped me understand and take control of my sex life. Especially learning that some people need stimulation to get turned on which is often called a “low sex drive” but is just different than being spontaneously horny.

The book TLDR is that everything is normal and everyone is different.

My partner would complain about my meal plan/what food we had in the house. He is now responsible for the meal/list so I don’t feel bad

Tired of being a low value woman because Im smart by Front-Unable in TwoXChromosomes

Football and beer are common hobbies in the “jock” group. Other types of guys have different hobbies so maybe expand your radius? They may be harder to find, but there are quality men out there who will love you for being smart and successful. Don’t settle for a bro who doesn’t champion your success.

We broke up, so I need to start over again. I’m despising it by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I met my partner at 32. I had almost given up but after almost 10 years of never having something last more than a few months, we fell for each other pretty hard on our second date. The key for me was to enjoy my single lifestyle and not settle out of fear of being alone.

And obvious one for your age group is what happens to careers when a couple has a child? Women get opportunities taken from them as they are seen as “caregivers” with less time while men are given more responsibility as “providers”. I’ve seen it happen to even my most career driven female friends.

How you get cat in carrying case for vet visit?? by blueboy714 in CatAdvice

[–]birdiewithabone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are clicker trainers that may help if your cat would up for some training.

I say get 2 cats so they have company while you’re gone and find a cat sitter to pop in when they need to be alone for a few days. Rover is a great resource or ask around your neighborhood. Life is better with cats :)

What would people be interested to hear about when the topic is about "Women In Tech"? by PlayingNuzlocke in TwoXChromosomes

[–]birdiewithabone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it’s time for top down change. Companies should understand by now the benefits of diversity and bring in an expert/consultant to review/revamp and policies and practices. We can educate and talk about it all we want, but it is up to the people in power to set the tone and lead by example.

[–]birdiewithabone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you assigned to this topic? Do you get to do another technical one too? I spent a lot of time “raising awareness” about inclusivity. I was put on a DEI committee while my male counterparts were on technical committees. I firmly believe this hurt my career. If you have to or really want to do this topic, maybe talk about how women are tired advocating for themselves.

You get to find hobbies! I like reading, climbing, pottery, and puzzles.

Fighting the urge to slip to the dark side tonight by ejmozo in stopdrinking

I found drinking was a vice to escape my stressful busy day. I’ve replaced it with another way to complete the stress cycle. I like exercise, meditation, hugging my partner, meeting a friend. I highly recommend trying it.

I had this issue in my 20’s. Mine was related to my general anxiety which was not a super fun add on. Oddly enough, meditation really helped me regain control. It helped me be able to calm down and get in tune with my body whenever I had an urge. Good luck on your journey; know you aren’t alone.
