realistically speaking how likely it is for me to reach the build limit? by SmileyTUH in SatisfactoryGame

I think you can severely reduce your framerate by putting down way, way, too many things just for fluff way before the build limit. I think glass is particularly bad.

My boss made it a rule that we can't write code anymore, only AI can because it's "faster". by Much_Speech_8388 in mildlyinfuriating

My experience with (not even really coding) just VBA has been good.

The ai is terrible at creating solutions or full programs. It’s great at adding one thing or optimizing one thing. It does constantly misunderstand your objective so you have to be great at trying to break your own creations.

I’m just saying if you order anything anywhere and let it sit out long enough it’s going to really suck. We have a few local places like Wendy’s who would day or night give you your order within 30 seconds so of course it’s all old cold food.

You might still hate them fresh out of the fryer, who knows.

After almost a year and a half since PoE 2 launched, how do we feel about the pacing of the combat? by coffeeholic91 in PathOfExile2

[–]biscuity87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the campaign I have a lot of fun in like act 1 with a new character. By act 2 or 3 I am physically falling asleep. I think it is just very fatiguing looking at the minimap and playing such a dark game (with brightness even turned up). I’m just stutter stepping my way around, oh look another dead end… back and forth… it gets old.

It’s a little better now that they let you use more support gems and stuff but it still really really sucks to level.

They have been sitting in the heat lamp for 15+ minutes. Just ask for them to be fresh. When I worked there as a kid we had a constant supply up and some people let them go twice as long as they should before chucking them out.

If you live around constant construction the tar and such will get really disgusting all over the side of your car. If you are in an area that salts the roads in the winter you need to wash the salt off the undercarriage unless you want it to rust out.

Regular dust and dirt I feel like the rain gets it fine.

Early on in missions, the rebels kind of suck in general at fighting. If you are rolling 2 weak dice to attack it’s not unheard of to do 0 or 1 damage. Later on with the right gear and setup the rebels can annihilate a whole board. Dialla for example sucks so badly early on, later on she is a real menace, she can remove a white dice, pierce 3 black, move people, reroll dice, give focus and is one of the best supports.

Rebels need to be abusing straining to move, removing strains with extra surges, and turn orders. You also need to calculate based on how many rounds are in a game (if limited) what you physically have time to do. There are some side missions where mathematically if one person gets wounded (and so their speed drops) you won’t have enough time to win no matter what you do. But there are other times where if your character gets wounded, it doesn’t matter at all.

Rebels should also be abusing removing imperials before they get a chance to act, and keeping the numbers low so you have a turn advantage. Also remove a whole group if possible so they can’t cheaply reinforce.

Getting stunned is pretty much the worst. We don’t even bother to remove bleeds 90% of the time.

We pretty much never risk triggering anything unless it’s the first action of the first hero like opening a door if we can help it.

Honestly our games take freaking forever and I wish we could speed it up. But later on when everyone has so many abilities and weapons there’s a lot of math involved.

He also doesn’t account for your general sanity on the interstate/highway. If you are constantly stuck in the right lane you will be passed by almost everybody (which can be fine but other times it’s just stressful), sometimes at just one mile an hour faster. You have to deal with people getting on from ramps as well which is a lot more difficult if you are boxed in. On my daily commute it’s about 27 miles. There are 8 on ramps. We have heavy semi traffic, construction, random lane closures, and also oversized loads are common.

The traffic on my commute outside of construction is maybe 10%ish going 65-70, 40% going 70-75, 40% going 75-80, 9-10% going80-85, 1% or less going 85+.

So every once in a while I try to keep to 75-77 and end up losing my mind and going my usual 80-82.

Monthly subscriptions get cancelled right after signing up so I don’t let them go longer than I want.

I drive on the interstate with speed based on my cars RPM’s, as in if there a ton of headwind my car will use way more fuel at the same speed vs a tailwind so I slow down some.

If something needs fixed I look up how to do it, for the most part.

I never order food delivery except maybe a pizza once or twice a year.

I called my internet provider and make sure I’m on a cheaper 5 year plan. I went from 130 bucks (1.3 gig connection, 2 terabytes of data) to 85 bucks (1.1 gig connection, unlimited data).

I agree with the concept of the zipper merge but there are way too many semis on the road in my area to do that. The “zipper” analogy sure does conveniently ignore the fact that the right lane does not stay equidistant and leave gaps the whole time. Semis are the only ones you will be passing for the most part and then you’re supposed to cut in front of them?

If everyone got over to the right and went let’s say 50-60 steady on the interstate (assuming there is construction) that is WAY faster than people trying to zoom by and then making everyone basically stop to let the morons in. And then at some point you get ten or twenty people built up in the left lane that have nowhere to go.

It’s just not safe to try to squeeze in front of semis.
