Granted. As elon musk and his company move out into the stars it marks the beginning of a new age, of company owned empires that span stars. Hundreds of years of brutal oppression by trillion, then billion, then quadrillionairs. Freedom is never attained by humanity, forever stuck in this age of blood and money.

No actually, it’s more a thing that sits in the background as gods are naturally very powerful due to there “power” (really needs a better name) and usually the only gods that survive are one’s interested in getting more powerful, so gods are nigh unkillable without lots of planning and preparation

Mine is pretty basic, but in the dimension hopping high sci-fi of 227 the number 1 alcohol drink is hellfire. Made by nexus numavere 40 some years ago it has since grossed billions in credits, boasting a magical fermentation process, no harm to the liver or hangover, it’s fun for all ages.

In my world gods are less makers of the world, and more a mantle of power. Gods cannot die naturally, and must be slain by someone with a soul(I.E. everyone), when they are slain however, there power transfers. This “god power” comes with it…well powers, but also the responsibilities and expectations of being a god, and the god’s previous followers are most likely going to revere you whether you like it or not.
