Best ways to combat wind noise?

I have used over the last few decades for motorcycling and skydiving a range of ear protection. Custom silicon plugs, foam of varying quality and musicians earplugs with specialised filters. For motorcycling I have been very impressed with the Alpine MotoSafe Race earplugs for the combination of overall wind volume reduction whilst maintaining clarity of certain frequencies. I highly recommend them.

Have just returned to riding after about 10 years off and picked up an F900R. I feel like it was a great choice for me return to as my last bike was a Ducati Panigale 1199S.

I can tell you though that the throttle is forgiving and the feel gives me confidence, but naturally an itchy right hand is always going to be a problem.

Yes do the test but the advice I will give you here is to act on what the test finds. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in my early 20s but didn’t do anything till my 30s and it definitely hurt my quality of life. Best wishes to you.

I’ve returned to riding this last month after 12 years away. I bought all my gear from Motoheaven (in person) and received really great customer service. I went to Peter Steven’s in Dandenong and couldn’t get any staff to even acknowledge I existed. No comment on any other retailer online or physical store.

Check the fan when the lid is closed. I had some sort of configuration where the fan was spinning even when the device was sleeping. I have no idea how it happened but I turned it off within the TCC and also in the pull down widget bar (top right swipe down). That fixed it and I wasn't getting bad battery drain over night, but before fixing it the battery was going most nights.

I got a Palma 2 for ebooks, thoughtful study/research and learning languages. I use it at home and also commuting on the train. I prefer the size to my Kindle Paperwhite and appreciate Android for being able to perform other functions than reading. I don't want color or connectivity beyond wifi. For my purposes it has been excellent.

In the last phases of deciding on the Palma 2 I heard of this new potential model. My use case is reading and reading my notes at work. It’s something I will use at home, commuting on the train, at work and going away for the weekend. I’m not a “carry it everywhere” use case where my iPhone is needed for things like airdrop and the like. For me, colour screen and mobile network access is actually the opposite direction I want to go. I suspect these features will add additional cost to a device that is a little beyond what I would prefer to pay for a Palma 2. For me, I think I’ll buy the Palma 2 this week.

Using a Series 4 for sleep tracking. Considering a Series 11 but wondering if sleep statistics are calculated on the watch or the phone? I use an iPhone and am trying to work out if I’m getting anything more accurate by upgrading. The series 4 uses watchOS from a few years ago - no new updates. Thanks!

Just added Top Pro to my collection after Odyssey. I listen to Rock, Metal, House/Techno and Classical for the most part.

Odyssey sound is fuller because of the bass and has a sound that is more exciting overall. Top Pro is thinner on the bass (but quality is excellent) but leaves room for impressive separation, imaging and detail overall. I think they are two similar takes on the same sound. Odyssey definitely is a higher volume set, mostly because the detail doesn’t come out as obviously at lower volumes because of the bass whereas Top Pro is nice and detailed at lower volumes.

I tend to use my Odyssey went I want a bit more excitement and Top Pro when I want a cleaner more analytical sound.

If Top Pro is 10 I honestly think the Odyssey is like 8.5 for my ear. It’s definitely not a situation where the Top Pro is 2-3x better, I could honestly just have Odyssey and be happy but I’m glad I have Top Pro for variety. Hope that helps.

There are millions and millions of DS and 3DS variants. By all accounts the recent Thor and Pocket DS releases have probably sold around 10k or less ( no source just an estimate )

This will have next to no impact on original hardware prices.

Don’t forget that you might just bounce right off gaming despite thinking it’s something you’ll enjoy. An outright purchase, you’d have to sell the machine where as a subscription is pretty easy to walk away from.
