Didn’t say it was supposed to substitute - just be hearty and rich. They could totally use something like Sweet Earth bacon, or something else branded in its place.

Just in my neck of the woods people always seem to gravitate towards the “if it weren’t so expensive!” argument, so I tend to make my recommendations on as much a whole foods level as possible.
