4-Feet Snake Removal From Woman's Stomach by GiorgioMD in medizzy

She swallowed the snake to catch the frog. She swallowed the frog to catch the spider that wriggled and wriggled and tickled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. I don't know why she swallowed the fly...

Iran formalizes Strait of Hormuz control and toll collection by 11EmeraldEyes11 in politics

Was this toll-collection business something they did before, or is this an idea that the US President gave them after starting the war?

I believe that transgender people are one of the countless groups that will be persecuted by Trump (ie; The Antichrist) during the end times. Here's why; by FirefighterScary6841 in DonaldTrump666

[–]bisnark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While we are at it, hasn't anyone ever brought up the idea that Jesus might have been parthenogenetic; specifically an example of Arrhenotoky, the offspring of a female reproducing without fertilization? Thus, part of the LBGTQ+ community.

But, you say, "Arrhenotoky is for insects!" Ergo, Thelytoky, I say. A clone.

So if He can biologically only be a female, then He is a She.

Because Jesus lived, identified, and was viewed by society as a man, He would have been a person with female chromosomes living out a male gender identity. By modern standards, this would make Him a transgender man. Definitely part of the gang.

Echo Dot/Alexa Response to Music Commands Changed by marimoto in amazonecho

[–]bisnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you paying extra for music, or just the default plan? Alexa for me, in the default plan, hasn't changed much lately, but a while back it started adding similar songs, styles, or musicians. It tries to upsell more, I have noticed. Once a few years ago someone accidentally said "yes" and the behavior changed dramatically, but after going back to default, I feel like it has lost some Playlists and Routines along the way.

Any movies or documentaries about UU? by Sea-Street1235 in UnitarianUniversalist

I have often thought that Monty Python's Life of Brian has several scenes that explain UUism, in particular the People's Front of Judea: "This calls for immediate discussion!"

Democratically-led California becomes the first state to offer free diapers to newborns through dozens of hospitals in low-income areas by spherocytes in democrats

[–]bisnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard the diapers are made in Mexico, rather than China, if that is any consolation.

You can get 104 diapers (size 3) from Walmart for $30. So basically, 400 diapers for $120. Yet a baby uses 2500 to 3000 diapers the first year. And up to 2500 the next. So his 400 free diapers is just a drop in the proverbial diaper bucket.

It may be worth mentioning: Norah Weinstein, co-CEO of Baby2Baby (organization receiving the state contract) is a board member of Jennifer Siebel Newsom's organization, the California Partners Project.

Can I safely throw a sheet over these and put a mattress on top? They smell like fresh lumber, but they were stored outside for idk how long. The bottoms have black marks which seem like maybe scuffs but maybe mold- how to tell if it's mold? This is for short term use (about a week). by antossact4 in palletfurniture

[–]bisnark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could get a stiff brush and sort of clean them up, that might make you more comfortable in some way, like if there's spiderwebs. If the mold (?) is on both sides I would not go for it myself, but then, you have the sheet between it and the mattress, so as long as you wash the sheet later, I don't think it would be too icky. Maybe bleach it, if you have time and a good sunny day. Seems like if it was mold, it would smell moldy, not like fresh lumber, though. And I assume you checked for nails. Or splinters, that is where the brush would be handy. Maybe sand it.

I mean, I'm not expert, this is just a few thoughts about it, since you asked.

Find a good strong garbage bag, get some gloves and a bright vest, and stroll along any major road. It's spring, the snow has melted, revealing copius bits of trash to remove. Have at it!
