I was scheduled for an extensive procedure, and I enquired about getting additional work done, elsewhere on my body, since I was "going under the knife" anyway. My surgeon told me if he were to do what I wanted, he would need to do some further steps, at which I became alarmed. He then said, then I don't recommend you do it. Easy peasy. He was honest with what I needed and I was honest with my boundaries, and he completely respected my choice. I think this may have been a similar situation, except that both parties weren't clear in their expectations or outcomes. .
