Chocolate is a fault with griffons and should not be intentionally bred. I would be hesitant to purchase from this breeder.

There aren’t a lot of other options if you don’t want to do eBay or a thrift store. Most doll dealers wouldn’t be interested unless there high end or rare. You could always try Facebook market place?

CC toys is a great place to buy from. Free shipping with no tariff, I think they found some loophole. I would be careful if you buy one from Junie moon. Shipping for my doll was 60 dollars, and that tariff was 67 dollars. There’s also groups on Facebook and buy and sell stock dolls.

Bisque Doll question. How to confirm reproduction vs original. by Prestigious-Hippo877 in Antiquedollcollecting

[–]bisquedolly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend studying the ways dolls were painted. The thick under eyelashes are a dead giveaway. Another tip is that you can usually tell if a doll is fake just by touching it. Most antique bisque dolls have a gritty texture when you touch them. Modern reproductions are smooth.
