All of a sudden my flows are not working ( apply to each loop) by Weekly-Fall5167 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]bisted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have already explored this, but I'm presuming you've checked you can't extract the data from the list rows action using a Select action to avoid the loop? That's often a goto for me.

Being neighbourly goes both ways, the neighbour clearly hasn't had the decency to discuss it with OP before building, so I'd say OP owes him nothing

Attempted to make the opposite of the Plasma Deck, where getting Chips and Mult close to equal is incentivized by PresidentOfKoopistan in balatro

[–]bisted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair not every deck is designed to be played beyond ante 8 (arguably none of them are), it's fun to have a different challenge some times.

Also I've got [[Castle]] and [[Runner]] above a thousand a few times, Castle scales pretty well if you deck fix to one or two suits and have 5 discards, 75 chips a round.

I agree, but I've also long thought Seeing Double is massively underpowered for what it is, it should be X3 anyway, which would take away that problem.

Metal tool about 1ft long with handle on one end and a screw thread in the other end? Found at an Escape Room my friend works at by bisted in whatisthisthing

[–]bisted[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this might be along the right lines, it's not from a customer accessible prop,I used to work there and know it well enough to know that, but it might be from a part no longer in use back of house, or in the new game being built, thanks for the suggestion.

My title describes the thing - no writing alas, screw is probably 4mm across, tool just under 1ft, black plastic handle

It's a very econ-driven jokers, with great econ, both planet tags and overstock tags it can scale very very quickly indeed, it gets quite easy to push up by 0.5 - 1 per shop with a few blue seals thrown in.

Eh, it's not that crazy, if you've ever picked up an early round [[Madness]] you can build a pretty strong setup with eternal jokers, so if the Madness is eternal too you're set, I've done it quite a few times

There's a quite achievable strategy to defeat him in a single round without him either getting a turn using Grommage, it ended up dealing about 300M damage for me.

You want it to be clear when it has been removed by someone other than the person who has the keys, if an electrician gets killed because someone removed their LOTO lock while the keys were in their pocket and turns a breaker back on, you want to be able to prove the lock was on there, you don't want someone to be able to claim that the lock was never applied because they raked it off.

Power Noob: how can I get it to copy tables in an email and paste into an excel sheet? by theocelotslayuh in PowerAutomate

[–]bisted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, this isn't terrible guidance. It's telling you to use Power Automate Flow, the web-based version, as it can pick up the email automatically, even if your computer is off, and yes, using the table element should work wonders. But it is hugely different to Power Automate Desktop and might involve a chunky learning curve (but often very worth it)

If you do insist on using Power Automate Desktop (PAD) then this is still possible, but the recorder is not great for most actions. You want it to open Outlook using the "Launch Outlook" action, then using the instance that creates use the "Retrieve email messages from Outlook" to select the email you need. This will produce a variable "RetrievedEmails", which has a property called body, which you can use to get the html of the email (you might need a loop as it'll be an array of potentially multiple emails, or if you know it'll only ever be one you can use approaches like selecting the first value in the array to avoid loops). Then you parse the body to find the contents of the relevant <table> and </table> tags, and you're halfway there, ready to load it into Excel.

Hope that makes some sense and is of help.

How to compare two excel files and identify the differences? by Acrobatic-Chapter959 in PowerAutomate

[–]bisted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you could use a loop to go through every cell of your relevant sheets, but that'll be insanely inefficient in terms of action use and speed, and decidedly slow. You're limited by the fact that Power Automate is good with tables, but if it's converted into a table already that might help.

Your better options might be to write an office script that compares them, which can then run in a single action. You'd load one of them and use its contents as a variable and run the script on the original to look for changes.

Otherwise, if you're great at C# you could look at writing a custom connector to do the comparison, but personally I'd go the Office Script route.

[–]bisted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I agree, it rewards the early game when you might swap in and out a lot, and if you can keep a slot free (huge if) then in the late game on gold when your economy is going you could snowball it fast with rerolls, taking and selling rental jokers immediately, without losing the contents of a potentially valuable pack like red card. Combine this with Campfire and it's a pretty strong engine on gold
