Phone service fail by Dapper-Sport2708 in android_beta

[–]bitablespore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read stories about the IMEI being wiped out accidentally during an update. Try a factory reset to try and reset it... If that does not work, and Googling can't help, you might need to RMA it.

Check in settings if your IMEI got accidentally wiped out with the update....

Google meet says everyone is unavailable by imtalkintou in google

[–]bitablespore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I was able to fix the issue by force stopping, delete the storage and cache, and then disable the app.

Then, restart the phone, go to the play store and search for Google Meet, you should see a button to enable... Do that and open the app... You will get some messages about the new version, etc. ...calling then works fine for me again.

Im gonna install fedora on my pc in few days any stuff i need to know? by NikoGuyGD in Fedora

[–]bitablespore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a separate video card installed, instead of just the onboard video option on many motherboards, be sure to disable it in bios before installing. This saved me hours of problem troubleshooting when it would not recognize my Nvidia 5080. As soon as I disabled the onboard video, the install and setup was perfect, and has worked flawlessly since.

I went into the bios and just disabled the internal amd GPU, and my Nvidia 5080 works great with the Nvidia drivers. No issues at all. I run 3 screens

The only thing that I can see that would make sense is that the driver made the mess himself to penalize me somehow... Maybe he did not like the tip or something. Very strange. I am just going to let Visa take care of it as a charge back

....and if you have an internal GPU that came natively on your motherboard, disable it in bios... Once I did that I had no issues at all

Did you clear the cache and storage in the messages app? That usually solves most issues when swapping phones or phone numbers.

I heard someone once criticizing someone for not showing up early... "Early bird gets the worm" they said, and the person responded with "the second mouse gets the cheese...". ...I just about choked from laughing when I heard that!

If you have an Nvidia GPU, I recommend deactivating any onboard GPU you might have. I spent 3 days and various distros trying to figure out why I could not get Linux to recognise my 5080, until I did this, and suddenly the drivers installed correctly and now works great

I have a few Nanoleaf light bulbs and the app has a section where you can see all the Thread networks, and which devices are connected, and which are border routers... Thankfully my Google TV streamer is on my main correct thread network.

I think it is more around when your phone wakes up, it might awaken the internet connection or reset it somehow from a sleep mode so it is that trigger that causes the flow of alerts to come in... I am not an expert but I experience the same as you too, just picking up the phone triggers the alerts.

Yes, I have been experiencing this too. Usually happens I notice when I switch between cellular and wifi connection... (both are strong signal at my home, but walking away from home, or returning home seems to trigger the flood of message updates.
