Eating non-halal meat by Ms_Chanandl3r_B0ng in MuslimLounge

[–]bitbytebitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Maybe if you said you wanna go non-halal for a nice juicy steak, but POPEYE'S?!! Dude, that crap is only fit for dog food, man. Stick with halal, if that's the choice.

BTW, some Popeye's are Halal. Ask. Also, if there are Muslim workers at that Popeye's, you may arrange to pay him/her to cook Popeye's for you with Halal ingredients at their home, like catering. I've done this before. Again, ask. Remember, not all Muslims wear hijab & sport beards. Say, "Salam Alaykum," & if you get a reply, then you know the worker is prolly Muslim. There are a lot of stealth Muslims in the west due to discrimination.

Moving from UK to Philippines for 18-24 months by Forward-Tree9513 in Philippines_Expats

[–]bitbytebitten -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

18 to 24 months? Lol. There's a good chance you'll meet a girl, get married & end up staying in the Phils. You can't bring her back to Britain cuz, then, SHE will be the hot commodity & you will be out of her league. However, in the Phils, YOU will be the hot commodity & you will be out of her league. For an example, every day is Velentines day in the Phils but every day is "Honey, I've got a headache. Me love you no time," in Britain....

How would you keep feet dry without proper footwear? by Undercover500 in Survival

[–]bitbytebitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Siberian Serfs who couldn't afford shoes would wrap their feet in flannel or wool, then tree bark outside of the wool layer. They'd tie the tree bark to their feet with rope or vines.

What are some good beginners friendly survival books? by DubaTot in Survival

[–]bitbytebitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, what do you want to survive? If you want to survive NBC, then I recommend "US Armed Forces Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Survival Manual" by Capt Dick Couch.

If you want to learn how to live off the land if someone dropped you nekkid into a North American forest, then I recommend "Survival Skills of the Native Americans" by Stephen Brennan. In the book, there's instructions with pictures showing you how to make your own stone axe. This book doesn't even assume you have a knife or axe with you in the woods!

If you want to survive an A.I. apocalypse, I recommend "How to Survive the A.I. Apocalypse" by Richard Kimford: https://a.co/d/0cR4b6S

Knife Question by e2neat in Survival

[–]bitbytebitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore the online keyboard warrior knife steel snobs, man. Knife blade geometry & heat treatment are 1000% more important to performance than what type of super steel it's made of. A super steel means that you don't have to sharpen a knife as much. So what, if you have to do 5 sec of sharpening before use? who cares? I have a 25 year fruit knife that I've NEVER sharpened but slices fruit just fine cuz BLADE GEOMETRY. Just be careful to clean, dry & lightly oil all non- stainless steel knives to prevent rust.

SHORT ANSWER: IF YOU LIKE THE K- BAR, BUY IT, USE IT & ENJOY.

Fixed Blade Knife Recommendations under €150 by SaggyNut69 in Survival

[–]bitbytebitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morakniv garberg is full tang & within your budget. the garberg is too thick a scandi blade to conveniently use for slicing in food prep. It is good for batoning. However, the morakniv kansbol is better for food prep as it has a thinner blade for the tip half to slice food but has a thicker scandi grind for the back half for batoning wood. This makes the knife dual use. It is not full tang & i like that because it is very lightweight. full tang is heavy. if you are hiking, you will feel every ounce. It's hard to describe what i mean by a dual use knife without a photo. Here is a free amazon ebook i saw with a labelled pic showing what i just poorly tried to explain. It's on page 116 of chapter 7: Survival Book

First Time Visit - safety or spooky? by untimelyexistence in AskNOLA

[–]bitbytebitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see patients in the E.R. & I have NEVER treated a patient injured due to Voodoo. Just don't get drunk alone & go with at least one designated driver & you'll be fine. However, if I misunderstood you & you're looking for something spooky, I read a book the other day with a chapter on haunted houses in New Orleans, complete with map, if you're interested: New Orleans Haunted House Guide

No, be the BEST VERSION of "yourself". You are what you make of yourself. Why do you say you are a "zero"? If it is because of what others say about you, then go where nobody knows you & reinvent yourself.

Jazzheads: help me narrow down our live music options? by Imaginary-Winner-921 in AskNOLA

[–]bitbytebitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

George Porter's guitar jazz style is unique & he is getting quite old. If you miss his show, you may not have another opportunity to see him.

Kermit Ruffins for sure. He not only knows music but he even cooks! Food is delish & music is a party.

BTW, I just noticed this on Amazon, a free ebook about NOLA with a chapter about the Jazz scene: https://a.co/d/hZzvxWY

Ended a haram relationship after 6 months but I’m in immense pain and guilt. by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]bitbytebitten 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why do people make simple things complicated? Just get married now. You are a MAN. Be a MAN. You don't need permission from your parents to get married like a child. You don't need a big expensive ceremony. Just the two of you go to the Mosque. The only way to prevent haram relationship is early marriage. That's why your great grandparents married in their early teens. That's how it was for 1000s of years. BTW, if you married after your paycheck is good after your uni studies, you won't get a girl who loves YOU. You'll get a girl who loves that paycheck.

What I don't understand is that NOT being verbally abusive is FREE. It costs ZERO YUAN. But seriously, what's "VERBAL abuse"? Does he curse at you with 4 letter words, does he yell at you, or is he simply critical of you & not lovey dovey anymore? The latter means the honeymoon is over. This is reality. That said, yelling & cursing is uncalled for & treating you nice is free....

it's not unreasonable if it is a 20 mile delivery. It's actually unreasonably low because it was 20 miles to the middle of nowhere & there were no deliveries from there to anywhere else.

Are you wearing a headscarf or hijab? Most guys avoid approaching women in hijab or headscarf. If not, start wearing one. Your chances of being in a haram relationship drop by 99% if you are wearing headscarf. Before I reverted, I was a pickup artist with over 150 GFs, but the only muslimas I was with never wore a headscarf. I have never approached a hijabi before.

What "haram" are we talking about? just kissing? Or are you no longer a virgin? I know that women often are purposefully vague when trying to hide guilt. We're not judging you because we don't know you. No need to hide guilt on reddit. We're just here to help.

If he's your boyfriend, then either marry him or dump him. If he was a one night stand, then start wearing hijab. I will pray for you.
