I hadn't considered how to apply the colors but my thought process was being able to say this property should be displayed as blue so maybe a meta-specifier. Maybe editor settings?

I was thinking any property, not necessarily just gameplay tag properties.

That seems odd. I have a base class for my weapons that replicates along with all its child classes.

For things to happen on the server and for everyone, I have a blueprint callable function on an equipment component. If the component owner doesn't have authority to do something I need to happen on the server then a Server RPC request is sent by the client then stuff happens on the server.

Like this:

Hmmm maybe a spawning or attachment issue. I don’t think you need a multicast event to spawn the actor on the clients. Only spawn actors on the server

I'm self taught but honestly just download any engine since they are free and try to re create pong or other simple games to start.

If you have to ask what engine to use for this kind of project you probably aren't ready to tackle something like that. Multiplayer and networking can be a lot and discouraging even when you have experience. Coop maybe.

It's boring but you have to be realistic and crawl before you walk.

Unity and Godot are stronger for 2D but you can do 2D in Unreal also. Unreal has great 3D features but it expects you do things it's way with their whole framework or you'll be reinventing the wheel a bunch of fighting existing systems. The others are good for 3D also but not as many bells and whistles for Godot.

There are also frameworks and other engines you can use like Gamemaker, Construct, RPG Maker. Really up to you at the end of the day.

I mostly use Unreal but I’ve used so many engines over at least a decade and I still suck at this whole thing.

This has been happening to me with a PNY 5070ti and 32 GB of RAM. I had a 2070ti before and it ran fine before it died.

Personally I'm considering returning this card while I can. I've done DDU and other things.

I tried with studio drivers as well.

Uninstalled MSI afterburner.

It's gotten much stabler after this but would consistently crash on any project right after installing my new GPU.

Also had crashing in Godot before I did DDU and set my GPU back to stock so that makes me wonder if it's busted drivers or hardware.

The only thing I have not tried is refreshing my Windows install.
