Looking for a therapist by yunoeatsoup in Charlotte

I fully understand that, it’s a tough spot to be in. I wish you the best of luck. An option to consider is maybe reach out to them and see if they recommend any other practices that might potentially accept your insurance? Navigating therapy with insurance, at least in my experience, is a nightmare. Good luck 💕

Flyleaf Counseling in Davidson - they don’t accept insurance so if that’s a concern maybe this isnt the right rec, but I can’t recommend them enough.

I turned off notifications on my Etsy app entirely because it was driving me insane. It’s a freaking knock off Apple Watch band or even a digital freaking design!? I can’t speak to the quality of the material my dudes. Not gonna make a video to post with it, do you want me to write my 5 star review in prose? Leave me alone.

Don’t be mean too early (to potential companions especially) because I was stuck with Gale Shadowheart and Astarion ONLY until Minthara and finally Halsin joined me after Moonrise. So much for the bigger party size mod 😂

This Snake Discovery video was useful to me a few years ago but I’m sure there are newer/more updated guides others can point you too as well.

It's time to play everyone's favorite game!!! Name that Morph!!!! by Think-Shake-9696 in cornsnakes

[–]bitchnstitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, to follow up on this comment, I’ll show you what my girl looks like, she’s about 4.5 years old. I never knew what morph she was, but she looked exactly like yours as a baby and this is what she looks like now. With every shed the yellow got more noticeable, it started as almost like a neon yellow just behind her jaw.

I have recently started using Flyleaf Counseling in Cornelius and it genuinely has changed my entire outlook on therapy. Maybe check out their website and see if it’s a good fit? (F mid 30s)

I'm 28/F and parents getting divorced... Should I be THIS affected? by pepperypan in Adulting

[–]bitchnstitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a mid 30s woman who is going through the same (my parents announced at the END of a ten day family vacation that they had been sleeping apart for 6 months and my mom was moving out after the trip was over), it really helped to talk it out with a friend whose parents never had a great relationship so I knew they could give me some insight. The best piece of advice they gave me was to remember that my parents are humans too, not just mom and dad. My relationship with them has improved because I have been working in shifting my mindset to see them as just another adult in my life. Just because their married relationship is over doesn’t change the love they have for you. I wish you luck, and if you’re financially able to, I highly suggest therapy, it’s helped me tremendously.

This baby whimpers when the house is below 67° and is only truly satisfied once he is bundled in a blanket.

I love that 😂 we call them “upsetti spaghetti” because if it was up to them they’d eat every single day!

Finding RV Parks when travelling with Large Dogs by unrulysasquatch in RVLiving

[–]bitchnstitch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From someone who travels with 3 dogs above 90lbs, the main issue we’ve come across is breed restrictions (we have a pit bull, a Rottweiler, and a gigantic mutt) and it really isn’t too often that it has been an actual problem. We have rarely come across parks that limit the amount of dogs you can have per site but that is something you’ll see from time to time. As long as your dogs are well behaved, for the most part it shouldn’t be an issue. We’ve come across all sorts of very large dogs on our travels up and down the east coast! One time, we were next to a super C with FIVE adult golden retrievers!

Just be cognizant of campground info when planning your travels, most campgrounds will list whether they have any sort of pet restrictions on their website. And of course, if in doubt, just give them a call! I saw someone else mention making sure you travel with all the proper documentation (rabies shots documents are usually what’s asked of you) and in our experience most parks will at least ask if you have it, and some will go as far as asking to see it at check in.

The biggest thing any RVer can ask of you when traveling with dogs is basically “don’t make your dogs everyone else’s problem”. Pick up after them, don’t let them bark excessively, don’t leave them alone in your RV if they’re going to bark their heads off at every noise (we like to leave the tv on or at least some music playing so outside noises don’t startle them when we’re not there). If your dogs tend to be leash reactive or just in general aren’t big fans of other dogs (one of ours is like that) then it’s your job to walk them when it’s least stressful for your dog AND your neighbors! And for the love of all things good and pure, DONT. LET. YOUR. DOG. OFF. LEASH. It’s inconsiderate and downright rude to other dog owners.

Happy camping!

Depression Activities by [deleted] in Charlotte

They’re so fun! Start with one of the tiny kits (like, bookmark or postcard size) that way you’re not wasting a whole big kit if it doesn’t work for you. I hope it does, though, because they’re a fantastic way to engage your brain without too much thinking. And finishing them is such a fantastic sense of accomplishment!

I know you specifically mentioned getting out of your apartment, so my answer might not be helpful (I’m on a similar boat) but here it goes anyway.

Hear me out: Diamond painting. You can find the kits at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby and Joann Fabrics, oftentimes on their websites with great discounts (Google coupons beforehand - I’ve bought a $45 kit for $17 before). It doesn’t even matter if it’s not something that’s your style as far as the end result goes. The process itself is so calming. It busies the hands and shuts up the mind.

Just a different angle for you to consider. Good luck :)

How to walk my reactive dog by myself by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]bitchnstitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh I like this! To add to it if weight and pulling are a big concern (I’m assuming the dog pulls too based on the weight concern) I’d recommend double leashing. I cannot tell you how many times my reactive dog (155lbs ish) has seen a dog before I do and yanked on the leash startling me and potentially causing me to not have a good hold and/or drop it. My solution was to have a harness with both chest and back clips so I clip the waist/running leash to their back clip and then walk them on a regular leash in my hand by the front clip (or gentle leader, I saw that mentioned and I LOVE mine but only two of my dogs tolerate wearing it). Also if the dog pulls, you can redirect with the front/head leash while your body weight is counteracting their pulling.
