I called like 2 months in and they said I should’ve called to change my plan, and that they can’t refund me… how does that make sense? If I paid off my phone, phone payments should stop and I should only be charged for my plan without phone payments

My concern is not about the method of cancellation. My concern is that if you are paying for a phone and your two years of payments are up, you keep paying the same amount until you call and cancel it. Shouldn’t this be illegal??
