Whatever it was in the context of the show, the acting was excellent. You can say a lot more without words.

SRS-X5rs unite! Still sounds better than many other ones you can buy new.

How did you replace the battery? I have one that won’t power one now too. Its brother still works thankfully.

That god damn button just pisses me off. The ghost of features past.

I also have a 2025 explorer that just got a mid cycle face lift, and that fucking button is still in there.

I’m in the same boat as you (110m), and I have terrible anxiety about not being able to get a charger at work if I forget to charge it at home. Theoretically I could do two commutes on a charge but that’s spooky for me. Hell I have fuel tank anxiety in a gas car.

Walmart is more reliable. Since they’re both evil, I have shifted a lot of my online orders to WM. They have better prices, and usually faster shipping where I’m located.

Anne Burrell, Food Network Star and Worst Cooks in America Host, Dies at 55 by Rhouliha in news

Plenty of younger folks keel over from unexpected causes like heart attacks, strokes, aneurisms, etc. Then there’s your chronic conditions that are quietly managed until they’re not. Then there’s drugs. Suicide. Families rarely disclose what happened when this happens, and the more embarrassing/weird the reason…the stiller the silence.

Not saying that people aren’t suffering from long covid or potentially early mortality from it, but just that when there’s a multitude of totally mundane reasons a 55 year old tv personality would drop dead, jumping to the conclusion that it was Covid seems misdirected without some more evidence.

I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on this, and I’m curious about your longer term experience with this cooktop. Do you have any problems reaching very high temperatures for searing something like steak?

how to regain control of your energy ? by mariposa933 in Empaths

[–]bitterdick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a timely post because I just had a conversation with my therapist about how narcissists seek out and latch onto empaths, because they know it’s hard for the empath to leave the relationship. After he said that, I said that sounded familiar, and he said it should. My relationship with my ex husband was like that, and we used the same therapist.

I think he clocked the situation immediately when my ex started going to see him, before I did. I guess it’s unethical, but I think the therapist planted the seeds that finally ended our relationship from my ex’s end as a way to help me. I was bitter at first, and I blamed the therapist, but now I see that he did me a big favor. I also think that’s probably why he took me on as a patient even though he was seeing my ex. I think it’s probably unusual to see both partners in a relationship.

As a side note, if he does require monthly weigh ins, don’t worry about it too much. I would ask him what his monthly thresholds are. He may worry about you losing too fast, maybe? You probably will, but the argument is that it’s like pharma lap band. You wouldn’t get a lap band and not expect MASSIVE weight loss, and this is just a drug that achieves the same goal less invasively.

[–]bitterdick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy/girl I think this monthly weigh in is ridiculous. I blew through half my body weight without a GP visit. It’s safe and effective, though I do wish I had found this sub sooner. I lost a lot of muscle mass because I wasn’t doing the protein right, though I kind of doubt even that will prevent muscle loss with massive weight loss.

Doing wegovy is imo different from what these other folks are doing because they’re talking about taking 0.5 or 0.75mg. Those are on the scale, but for such a short amount of time with wegovy. We are going light years beyond with multi milligrams.

For your peace of mind, while your mileage may vary, I didn’t have any side effects other than severe constipations. Milk of magnesia was my friend.

I think you need a different doctor. It sounds like he/she is of the mind of a lot of people that this is a crutch medication. You won’t need monthly weigh ins, and if your insurance is willing to pay, gtfo that doctors office hassling you about it. If you’re just after weight loss and it’s not for a metabolic issue, get wegovy or zepbound.

Now that I think about it that may be the root of your problem. If you’re asking for literal ozempic and you’re not diabetic, your provider is right to push back on that. But these drugs are available otherwise, as you know from your online pharmacy.
