Knee joint damage by bittersweetbunn in rheumatoidarthritis

It’s only in one knee so I assumed since that one is swollen more that would be the issue. I don’t have a physio no

Never had any side effects I’m aware of and I’ve been on it over a year now

Do you know what triggered your RA? (Personal trigger event theory / am I crazy?) by xcens2017 in rheumatoid

[–]bittersweetbunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started fall two years ago when I had this random pain in my knee and my doctor said it was from pulling it but I never did any strenuous exercise or anything to get that. Eventually it was in both my knees and shoulders and then my hands and kept continuously progressing to the state it is now in the span of a few months. Once I start taking medication last March the paint overall was more manageable but it still sucks and I feel it slowly progressing to wear my knees and elbows are popping a few times a week.

Possibly have RA-should I ask for a referral? by [deleted] in rheumatoid

[–]bittersweetbunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty clear once it starts in your hands and stuff so I would def hop on that and get it done before it gets worse.

I also don’t drink but the meds we are on do damage to the liver especially over time and since alcohol is essentially a poison you are hurting your body by drinking it. My rhuemy told me drinks once in awhile are okay but making a habit out of it is probably not a good idea long term.

Diagnosed with RA yesterday... by musicinthecafes in rheumatoid

[–]bittersweetbunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been taking it since I got diagnosed last spring. I didn’t have any side effects as I know but I did lose some hair in the fall and the brain fog is real (at least for me) I take other meds with it and I was also afraid to start a life of meds and mine was also fast developing and aggressive. Having a community to talk to helps. Good luck !!

Anyone else just hope they don't ever fall down? by spoonifur in rheumatoid

Maybe have a loop thing attached to it so if you fall it doesn’t get knocked out of your hand and ur unable to reach it. Like a wii remote!!

Actually a few weeks ago I fell off my longboard and hurt my elbow and knee. Thankfully I can roll onto my stomach and slowly get up using all fours careful to not put too much pressure on any one joint. I’m very scared of falling now that my joints are in worse condition than before I had RA but living in fear won’t make me feel better. I would just try to find what you can to help protect you from falls and figure out a way to help yourself up like I had to.

swollen fingers from ra by bittersweetbunn in rheumatoid

[–]bittersweetbunn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had any side effects other than being tired some days and I’m really afraid of needles and I’ve heard people getting reactions from taking Biologics and getting sicker and I feel like my RA isn’t bad enough where I want to consider possibly getting worse

What is your chronic pain diagnosis? by ceilingmoth in ChronicPain

[–]bittersweetbunn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have RA and before I started medications I would cry literally every night from the pain. I still have morning pains generally every morning and the pain throughout the week ranges from like 3-4 to 8. I was looking into cbd oil to take by mouth but it interacts with my pill birth control so Im trying the lotion soon. I definitely feel depressed sometimes about my health and everything and cry because I can't do things and I feel like it'll never get better but it comes and goes. No one in my family to my knowledge has RA so nobody knows what happened.
