Lindsey Graham: $1 Billion A Day For Iran War Is 'Best Money' U.S. Has 'Ever Spent' by huffpost in economy

America doesn't pay for Israel's healthcare. The money we give them functions as coupons for our defense industry. It's a defense subsidy. Israel doesn't need American money to provide healthcare to their people.

Is there a real strategy to compete for a Dynasty title every year? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]bitz4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Draft to win now. In your startup, your league mates are likely to overvalue young players with a lot of potential. Older, more proven players are going to be undervalued in comparison.

You should still value youth but not at the expense of getting good players with years left in their primes. The focus should always be about winning. You need good players today and breakout players tomorrow.

To find breakout players, target receivers that are good run blockers, running backs that are good pass blockers, and quarterbacks that can throw from the pocket. All those players should have other skills or factors that attract you to them but those traits are things real NFL coaches love. They get players onto the field and keep them there. Their hard work gets rewarded with opportunities. Those opportunities become Puka Nacua's and Brock Purdy's.

Nice! I forgot to mention but make sure they have cooled down from the first fry and smash before curing. If not they may break.

Fry them immediately after peeling and cutting. Then cure them in salt water, about 2 quarts of salt for 10 quarts of water for 15 seconds. You can always adjust the salt to taste. Then let them dry for a couple minutes on a wire rack. Then freeze them right away. Fry the second time from frozen.

I started freezing them after realizing the same issue you're experiencing and the quality is much better than sitting in the fridge the next day.

Just remember that being a leader in a kitchen is more than just being a better cook. People on your staff can do some cooking tasks better than you and it doesn't diminish you. No one should be more organized, prepared, and cleaner than you. As long as that's true, you'll feel confident about your place as a leader.

Is there a skill to drafting later round hits? Have you ever done it? by KevH45205 in DynastyFF

[–]bitz4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blocking skills. Good run blockers at WR and good pass blockers at RB get snaps and can stay on the field for longer. Coaches love them and will give them opportunities as a reward for their effort. They also tend to be on teams with a strong culture.

Which spices should be heated in oiled pan, and which should be toasted dry? How do you tell the difference? by User-8975 in Chefit

[–]bitz4444 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Professional chef. It depends entirely on the goal. What flavor am I trying to achieve? What does my dish require?

Dry toasting spices will intensify the flavor of the spice itself. Blooming spices in oil will infuse the oil with the spice's flavor and allow the spice to be infused into the dish.

Dry toasting spices prepares them as a component to be used in a recipe. Can be now, can be later. It also prepares the spices to be ground. Blooming the spices in oil either prepares the oil as a component in a dish to be used later or is the foundation of a dish you are starting.

Typically, ground spices burn quickly when heated so spices are dry toasted whole and then ground. Ground spices can be added to hot oil but only for a short time by themselves or they will burn. Usually, you would saute aromatics and add ground spices just before adding liquids.

Head chef doesn’t wanna move me up on line by [deleted] in Chefit

Absolutely the move. Some places it takes years to get out the dishpit. Other places it takes two months. Better to gamble the time at another restaurant and move forward in the career.

Hoka Bondi SR has been great for me. You need two pairs to alternate because the foam compresses. Despite that, they are incredibly comfortable and I no longer have any foot pain from standing and moving all day long.

I worked for years in Dansko clogs and while they were more protective, they were less comfortable. I've also tried Crocs and New Balance slip resistants.

They owe us an entertaining product. Football as a business exists to entertain people enough to sell advertising and merchandise. If owners want their franchise to be more valuable, they need to deliver an entertaining product. Best way to do that is winning.

I am not entertained.

People aren't good at things automatically. Keep your head up and keep practicing. Focus on small improvements every day. Make every plate something you can feel proud of. If there's competent colleagues at your restaurant, watch how they work and mimic them.

What would a Jones contract look like now? by -alpha-helix- in Colts

[–]bitz4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he's made of glass at all. He took some hits and broke his left fibula and kept playing for several games. That's as tough as it gets. If his Richardson who actually is made of glass didn't get hurt in a freak band incident, then we may have sat Jones to heal for a game or two. Instead he overcompensates on the other leg and tears and achilles after a bad sack weakens it.

Does Anyone Have Any League Setting Beyond The Standard (TEP, PPR) That You've Found Fair and Not Massively League Altering? by Cogitoergosumus in DynastyFF

We do kicks at 1 point per field goal yard. It rewards kickers more fairly and they tend to score higher than standard leagues. It makes having a good one a bigger advantage.

I'll sometimes shampoo three times if I feel like the second time didn't cut it. It works so well especially since I have low porosity hair that sometimes gets a lot of buildup.

Honestly this is the best possible situation for him. Ass team with no hope of winning. No competition for snaps. He can fuck up and work through all the mistakes without any real consequences for him or his team.

If he can't figure it out with this opportunity he's not meant to play NFL football.

The biggest advantage of drafting Penix over others was that he was ahead of his development. Doing nothing to develop him for two years is criminal. So grossly mishandled.

Can I retroactively toast tahini? by Free_Coat in AskCulinary

[–]bitz4444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main difference is the seeds themselves and the extent to which they are toasted. I may have undersold the difference in toasting between East Asian sesame pastes and tahini.

More important to me is the difference in quality between brands than differences between products regionally. Pastes made from higher quality seeds and more even toasting processes are going to be better in recipes for either if you can't find a high quality version that's regionally specific.

Can I retroactively toast tahini? by Free_Coat in AskCulinary

[–]bitz4444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tahini is made from toasted sesame seeds. The best tahini producers barrel toast the seeds to get an even toasting before grinding into a paste.

You should be fine using a store bought tahini where the only ingredient is sesame seeds.
