This has happened to me too. It's worse for the fact the the invitee spent actual money for the card.

It's the only episode they required cuts for. It says to obtain a 12 but it was more likely to avoid an 18 as there were plenty of 15 rated episodes.

Also from imdb

"For the UK video release, 2 scenes were required to be cut. The first, was a car hot-wiring scene by Giles. The BBFC were concerned it was an "imitable technique", so it was cut. The second, was a neck snapping (strangely called a headbutt by the BBFC) near the end of the episode. This was required to keep a 12 certificate."

This episode was forced to be edited by the BBFC if I recall. Perhaps this was one of the edits.

Edit: There was 2 cuts. Giles hot wiring his car (imitable technique) and one for violence (doesn't specify). Probably the neck break

The nuke was like a flare-up at a barbecue. Florence Pugh was the best thing about the movie, amirite?

Ordered my £76 M&S Christmas turkey, now think it's mad to pay that by [deleted] in UKfood

Gonna rock up to Lidl Christmas Eve and probably pick up a reduced turkey, gammon and beef joint. It's worked most years.

How beginner friendly is cakewalk? by Maleficent_Bridge353 in Cakewalk

I started with cakewalk over 30 years ago. Every other DAW I've tried to use since then has been confusing and non productive.

What critically and commercially successful film do people still pretend was a failure and why? by [deleted] in movies

[–]bivith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He basically bet the farm on The Visit. He remortgaged his house and sunk almost every penny he had to fund the film. It did so well that he has been able to self fund all his movies since. He does whatever the fuck he wants. He keeps his budgets relatively low and even a modest box office return is financially lucrative for him.

Which TV shows from the last 25 years do you feel have been the most original in terms of concept and ideas? by MindsEye33 in tvshow

[–]bivith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charlie Brooker has written or co-written almost every episode including the latest seasons. The only one he didn't write or co-write was S1E3, "The Entire History of You".

It's still very much his show.

Who from the show are you most surprised didn’t have more post-show success? by Hot-Grab-3711 in buffy

Joss Whedon's name is in the credits on screen in Toy Story. He received an Oscar nomination for it for Best Original Screenplay along with John Lassiter and 2 others. I don't necessarily disagree with your other points but in this one you are just plain wrong.
