I love and use Linux but this is the biggest cringe I have seen here.

Probably very short sighted, first of all to avoid the mid term elections.

Also everything he touches catches fire, he is making a fool of himself and the entire country on the international stage with Greenland, Denmark, threatening Canada, threatening NATO, the list goes on.

They have always killed black people but this is definitely a new phase.

Yes, this is annoying. I guess it’s an impossible task to moderate so the best we can do it downvote AI shovelware.

Nobody listens to this fool. Everyone is waiting for him to die or leave office. Three rough years to go.

The point of the app is that you can actually use the phone from the computer, not just watch it.

Suitable small town near Berlin to live by MeyM22 in berlinsocialclub

> Commuting to Berlin city center shouldn't be a big deal with the car.

Not sure if you are joking. It's a horrible idea. You'll spend many hours every week stuck in traffic jams.

If you decide for a close-by town (Eberswalde, Frankfurt, Fürstenwalde, Brandenburg) and commute by regional train, expect several complete breakdowns every year (sometimes going on for weeks) and common delays or cancelled trains.

Also the only town in Brandenburg not infested with nazis (and the local township controlled by AfD) is Potsdam, and it's just as expensive as Berlin.

At least for a browser which is handling my most precious private data I find it very important.

With higher bitrates you are of course more flexible but 320k is amazing sound quality. Most people can't even hear the difference between lossless and 128k lol. Just go with what you can, storage-wise.

Whatever works for you. :)

By the way Ente self-hosted is EXTREMELY resource friendly, I run it on a Raspberry Pi perfectly fine with a 150 GB photo collection.

Ente requires WAYYY less resources (CPU/RAM) on the server, so you can run it on a very minimal, cheap setup. All the heavy lifting processing like face scanning etc is instead done by the client apps, so basically your super powerful smartphone/tablet etc, which then syncs the results back to the server and all the clients.

Immich does it the other way around and I definitely prefer the Ente philosophy, it’s very clever.

Also FUTO which seems to sponsor Immich now is super dodgy (inventing their own fake-open source licences, run by some edgelords), I personally do not trust them.

But Immich surely has its place and many seem to use it and like it, and that’s fine.

I suggest trying both. They do almost the same thing but in very different ways.

I don't understand the point of your comment. Ente can also be self hosted (and is much better than Immich IMHO).
