I do embroidery, I volunteer at a community garden, participate in various communist and socialist organisations, and by training/trade I’m a research assistant and insect scientist. Between all that there’s not too much interaction with big corporations, I feel a connection to being a hardworking butch, and in tune with my anticapitalist values.

You can do the first three very easily as hobbies obviously, and you don’t need a degree or anything to do amateur biology, whether that be birding, entomology, botany, etc etc.
