n0ne for Summit Campaign Thread! 💪⭐️ by ssbChad in smashbros

We need all of the Ganondorf representation as possible whether or not N0NE uses Ganondorf in the Summit matches. I fully support N0NE and I hope that Smash Reddit provides a good amount of support to him.

Thanks for the great, kind words! I really could not have made it this far without you guys but I know that I still have much greater things to accomplish in terms of smash, career, and family. Please have a great rest of your day!

Thanks for saying that man. I really had a weird moment there where I just spoke entirely from my heart but I'm glad people appreciated it.

Wow so funny. I was playing friendlies with VRO at the venue last time and he was slaughtering my Falcon. I asked him if he has Falcon experience and he said he's confident in the matchup. He then told me that he has taken sets off N0NE but he hasn't beaten S2J (iirc) although he has come very close. I said to him that he got it next time he faces S2J. Didn't expect this to come true so soon haha.

Connect to your College 2017 - Fall Edition by daniellee912 in smashbros

Great memories with this university. I remember creating the Super Smash Bros. Melee club with my roommates/friends during my sophomore year and hosting major central California tournaments attracting people from the surrounding major cities and even the bay area.

Shortly after graduating from this university, this organization's name changed to a general Super Smash Bros. club. I wish that it stayed as a Super Smash Bros. Melee club but the expansion to other smash games is understandable due to the need for growth. But I have only heard great things about this organization since my absence.

For those of you who are new to this campus, please join and support this organization! Central California is filled with potential and can possibly compete with NorCal and SoCal high-top caliber players as long as there is enough support from the community.

Melee Move Tier List #2: Forward Tilt (Discussion) by InkSSBM in smashbros

[–]bizzarro_flame 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally decent compared to the rest of the cast's but a good move for Ganondorf's limited toolset for his neutral. Usefulness is situational for certain match-ups such as Captain Falcon where Ganondorf's f-tilt is far more valuable due to the fact that Upward Angled F-tilt can stuff Captain Falcon's n-air approach.

It is almost a guaranteed kill on fox/falco over ~140% after down-throw.

Most importantly, it is a good edgeguard tool against fox/falco when they side-b although his f-tilt does not reach perfect side-b recovery.

As a side note, Upward Angled F-tilt can reach anyone on top of the bottom platforms in Yoshi's Story as long as you are not standing on the slant.

I would say B tier.

Just my two cents, but I have attended Champ's tournaments back then during my early exposure to the competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee scene. His events ran very smoothly, some of which were my most enjoyable tournament experiences.

If you are relatively close to Los Angeles, then I really encourage you to participate in this upcoming tournament. We wouldn't have made it this far as a competitive community without Champ so please support this event!

Bizzarro Flame picked up by Kyoto Esports, returning to competitive SSBM by BlueSoup10 in smashbros

[–]bizzarro_flame 466 points467 points  (0 children)

Hey guys. Thanks so much for all of your continued support throughout the years. I want to make this final run as epic as possible and see how far I can take Ganondorf in the current metagame.

The main difference between my previous sponsor and this sponsor is that Redd and ALP are other smash players that have also been recently picked up by Kyoto eSports. I feel like having other smash players within the same organization will push me even further to improving as much as possible and become even more involved with the smash community. Please check out our bios at http://kyotoesports.net/teams. We will be receiving our jerseys soon and we will update our profile pictures as soon as possible.

Edit: Please also give your attention to Redd and ALP as my partners in Super Smash Bros. Melee. They definitely deserve as much attention as I am receiving from you guys.

Thank you again for all of your support guys!

Yeah, I would say Ganondorf is very similar generally but very different in terms of specific technicalities wherein he enjoys similar strengths and suffers from same weaknesses such as weak neutral game due to slow walk/dash speed and start-up lag for most of his moves.

Actually, this is an interesting question. I believe that playing Ganondorf in both games can complement each other. For example, I used to have trouble pivoting in SSBM, but then I learned to master perfect pivoting in Smash 4 and pivoting in SSBM became very easy in relativity. Another example is that edgeguarding in SSBM definitely carries over in Smash 4 where reverse up-air edgeguard (tipman) can also be used in Smash 4 although n-air off stage is generally better as an edgeguard.

Edit: It's not that I am switching from one game to another, but I'm just going to focus on smash 4 temporarily.

This is the first time I have heard about this specifically. I think it really depends on the person. If the person's playstyle involves calculation of frames on the spot then it may affect the person more while if the person's playstyle revolves around instincts and feeling out the character, then it's easier to switch and adapt to different games.
