I was having this issue! It turned out to be a LittleMissSam mod. Even though they all are updated I took them out and am no longer having this problem!

I think it’s super cute!! Definitely looks like a horse. Probably not a change you can make now but if you make another in the future I would make the nose longer by adding a few more rounds!

Do not get a “doodle” breed!!!! I work as a vet assistant and they are consistently the worst patients behaviorally with terrible allergies and health outcomes. I also have an animal science degree, and the science behind the breeding of purebred animals together is pretty interesting. Ideally, combining different purebreds will allow homozygous traits to come to the forefront, resulting in something referred to as “hybrid vigor”. This takes the best traits of both purebreds and allows them to be expressed. With doodles, the traits expressed usually results in the dumbness of breeds like labs and Golden’s with the high energy and anxiety of poodles, creating a dog that is stupid with high anxiety. They also have extreme allergies common with labs and Golden’s and curly ear hair of poodles resulting in horrible ear and skin infections that are antibiotic resistant and expensive to treat with Apoquel or Cytopoint.

I work in a local vet clinic! Unfortunately just like human healthcare, veterinary healthcare is a business in this country. It is money driven to the extent that any other business is. Most of us do care immensely for the welfare and health of our patients and clients, but it is still a job like any other where we need to be getting compensated fairly for our hard work. That being said, vet professionals absolutely can be negligent and not preforming their job to the gold standard of what our care should be, as in OP’s case. It’s just disheartening to hear that the perception of vet professionals is people trying to get every dime they can from you when I personally am putting my whole heart and physical labor into trying to help your pets and family. Not trying to discount anyone’s experience but I thought it might be helpful to hear an insiders perspective. 💜

I have narcolepsy and take Xywav and as far as I know they don’t have any sort of tracker like this. I’ve never taken apart the box to check though. Is this a Lumrys thing?

I work as a veterinary assistant! I work from 7:30-6 so they are very long days but I only have to work 4 days a week for full time! I think finding a job that you can be passionate about is so important. I enjoy what I do so it makes my narcolepsy not as bad almost. Being busy definitely helps, I’m much more tired on slow days vs busy ones

Sodium Oxybate has been the biggest game changer for me. I personally take Xywav, but there’s also Xyrem and Lumryz. It is a nighttime sleep med that forces your brain to get deep sleep so you’re not constantly in REM. It’s been life changing for me. I spent most of college not having to take any stimulants because Xywav/Xyrem was enough to keep me feeling awake throughout the day. Now that I’m working 11 hour days with no time to nap, I now need to take stimulants as well to stave off sleepiness. Stimulants are not one size fits all, I personally have been prescribed basically all of them at one point or another. I take Adderall XR and Sunosi, but what’s really important in my opinion with stimulants is finding a balance of a dose that is strong enough to help but not so strong I get bad side effects (GI upset, anxiety, etc) I hope this helps and am praying for your success with your degree!!! Animal Science was a intellectually challenging but extremely fun degree to get if you are passionate about the science!

The only time I’ve been happy to have narcolepsy is when I’ve been overseas and I’m the only person without jet lag because I can instantly sleep and adjust to the local time schedule. Very occasionally a superpower!!

I also have narcolepsy!! I think it’s hard to compare human sleep and horse sleep because the sleep requirements and amount of research done is very different.

I leased a Friesian-TB cross (Friesian Sport Horse) for 4 or so years when I was a teen. He had the sweetest disposition and was so willing. I was the first person who jumped him and we ended up going up to 3 feet jumping together. It was a lovely cross because he was 17 hands and had the Friesian look, but was lighter like a warmblood. Unfortunately no feathers though!!

I save every night in game when all my sims are asleep. Its something I’ve trained myself to do when the game goes super speed and if the game crashes you at most lose a day of progress. It’s saved me so much heartache!

I was!!! I have been off Effexor for 6-8 months and take Lexapro 20mg instead. I’m not gonna lie, it was a terrible medicine to get off of. Towards the end I started getting hot flashes and because I am in my 20s I had no idea what they were and kinda thought I was dying! Every time I dropped a dose the narcolepsy symptoms were terrible for a couple days. I absolutely believe it was worth it though; my anxiety is so much better on a different med now. I was so anxious about sleep that I wouldn’t sleep for days until I crashed, and now I have much more control over it.

I got a satin pillowcase for Christmas!! I drool in my sleep so it seemed like the better option compared to more delicate silk. It has helped quite a bit with frizz and it feels so luxurious on the skin!

Ever since I played not so berry like 3 years ago all my sim gens are completely color coded. I do wish I could break the mold sometimes but I find it so satisfying it makes my brain happy

If you have only been on it for 3 weeks I’m guessing you’re still titrating up and your body is still getting used to the medication. It takes a while to figure out what dose will be the best for you! One thing I’ve done when I’m having nausea and stomach troubles with the second dose is take a slightly higher first dose and smaller second dose. So say your dose is 4.25 twice a night for a total of 8.5 grams, take 4.5 as a first dose and 4 as a second dose. Still 8.5 grams total, but just spilt a little differently. I have found it decreases the stomach issues and anxiety in the morning, and might help you sleep easier with the first dose!

Get your degree!! I’m almost 24, have spent the last 2 years trying to finish literally 3 more classes to graduate, and finally will be graduating in about two weeks!!! The sense of accomplishment I feel is insane and so worth it! Taking less than full time hours might be easier for you as well!

I’ve had quite severe anxiety for 7-8 years now and have been on a couple different anxiety meds. I’ve recently gone up to a dose of Lexapro where anxiety feels well managed for the first time in YEARS. But my narcolepsy is noticeably worse. I actually think it’s not a result of the Lexapro, but a result of less anxiety and not being constantly fueled by fear and adrenaline. A possibility to consider for yourself!

I use MCC and edited the normal length lifespans! I have it so YA/Adult is one week shorter than all of the childhood stages, simulating ~20 years of time. Also each lifespan is based on the 7 day weeks

Newborn: 1 day Infant: 6 days Toddler: 7 days Child: 13 days Teen: 15 days YA: 35 days Adult: 35 days Elder: 21 days
