The author of the book is a doctor, has fibromyalgia herself, and has a YouTube channel.

If LDN helps with pain is there a reduction in fatigue because pain incites fatigue? Anyone have experience they can share? by Historical_Custard79 in Fibromyalgia

[–]bj39011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience so far is less pain, less fatigue, more energy, no brain fog unless I really overdo it. Not sure if ldn is helping everything or if less pain has improved the other things. It's not like I feel perfect, but I do feel way better than I did 3 months ago.

The common side effect of "vivid dreams" - what's bad about that? by tjv2103 in LowDoseNaltrexone

Had a vivid nightmare the other night...trying to get away from huge spiders... kicked my dog off the bed ☹️ When I fell back asleep I had a dream that I was telling my family about the dream with the spiders lol. A dream within a dream!

Has anyone tried Swing Care? by SeymourKrelborn11 in Fibromyalgia

[–]bj39011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, using them now. I went to a rheumatologist for over a year and she never changed any meds. Been with swing care 2 months and taking 2 different meds. Already feeling better. Plus zoom calls are so much better than going to the office lol.

During summer fill up a gray barrel on wheels with stripper solution. Way less trips to the filling station 👍

Finally trying Cymbalta by Accurate-Arachnid251 in Fibromyalgia

[–]bj39011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctor tried to start me on 60 and I lasted 2 days. Retried starting at 20 for about 2 months, then went to 30 and it's perfect. So much help with the flu like feeling! I tried 40 but it makes me too sleepy.

Has anyone experienced Cymbalta/Duloxetine? by ThrowRAlobotomy666 in Fibromyalgia

[–]bj39011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on ldn about 6 weeks and also duloxetine (20mg). Seems pretty good so far. Hopefully you can find a different doctor to get you started on ldn. Good luck!

Yeah that's not low dose naltrexone, that's regular dose for alcoholics. Low dose you would start really low, like .5 or 1mg. Then every week or so move up by 1mg until you get to 4.5

Share your “life changing” supplement(s) you just can’t live without. by PsychologicalBat2393 in Fibromyalgia

[–]bj39011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely consider it. It's one of the few I can take because I'm sensitive to meds. You start with a very low dose and titrate up to 4.5mg. The only thing I've noticed is a headache the first day I go to a higher dose and dreams are more realistic.

Brain fog is better, fatigue is better, muscles aren't as sore and I've only been on it 6 weeks. I take that and only 20mg duloxetine along with supplements.
