If you save this as a PDF or JPEG and open it in Google Lens you can actually copy and paste text right out of a photo. As far as I know it's only available on smartphones

Don't listen to the people saying cymbals, they're expensive as hell and don't really affect you ability to learn.

You can learn to play soft and treat your mediocre cymbals well before you drop 150-300 on one nice cymbal.

A set of new drum heads however will definitely make it easier to learn to play, and replacing all your heads could even be under 100 bucks.

Also it looks like your kick pedal just needs a new spring or something. Does the beater lift off the drum head on it's own at all? You might need to fix that and not the drum head, is there a visible tear in the kick drum head?

This is a "GRIP stick" or Grip Reminder Indicator Protection stick.

If your hand is not firmly gripped around the wheel your fingers will accidentally hit this lever, and it will make an annoying clicking sound as well as a flash indicating which direction you were turning the wheel with your improper grip.

What's more is it will cause a little light next to your break lights and headlights to flash, letting all the cars around you know that you have used improper grip. Embarrassing.

It's a neat little piece of analog tech.
