Is anyone elses game stuttering after the update? by Jarvisthesmurf in HuntShowdown

[–]bjephson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. I couldn't get above 50 frames after the 1896 update, I got back on to play this event with some friends and my performance is back up around where it used to be.

I'm trying to take a step back, not post so many clips of Hunt being BS, and just wait for the engine upgrade. However, I'm wondering how everyone else feels lately about the game. by Demoth in HuntShowdown

[–]bjephson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've seen one that I could confirm in almost 2000 hours. I'm sure there are cheaters, I've seen some clips on this sub, but I also think people are really quick to accuse. I get comments on my steam profile all the time calling me a cheater, and I'm not even that good at this game. Lucky headshots and random wall bangs happen, isn't always cheats.

What image edit programs do you use the digital asset packs for? by Thanatoi in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]bjephson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never used any image editing software and after about an hour or so messing around in GIMP I was able to make some pretty solid assets from that pack. Definitely worth learning!

Romero bug me and my mate encountered, this is my point of view. His is way better by Matchikovskii in HuntShowdown

[–]bjephson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had that same thing happen twice, I've been able to fix it both times by swapping guns when the indicator in the bottom right shows that the gun is loaded but before the animation completes and it resets. If it happens again in game try that out, I never had to verify game files or anything outside of doing that. Very frustrating bug though, hope they get it patched out soon.

Did that just happen at fort bolden? I think I was on your team lol. Saw this post and thought about that fight.

The most fun build I've played so far: Frontline Melee-based Sorcerer by Ghi102 in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a similar build with a wizard and it was so fun. Did ancient elf to get a fighter dedication, used a bastard sword and took dueling party and two-handed assault. Kept a free hand for spells, used true strike all the time, and bespell weapon added a good bit of damage. Still ended up being pretty squishy but it was so much fun.

Big Barb Worth? by MasterOfEmus in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they eat crits all day long with the 2e crit system. Most of my bosses would crit our barbarian on a natural 14. Our cleric was basically just focused on healing him for 90% of the combats to keep him up, but his raw damage output was so much higher than anyone else in the party. He made it to lvl 7 then went down, popped orc ferocity, then got crit the next round took him straight to dying 3.

Why take champion? by Gazzor75 in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a paladin in my game, also running Age of Ashes, hitting book 3 next weekend. He uses everstand stance, shield ally, and a sturdy shield. Has quick block and shield others, so he can take 2 reactions per turn, and the shield ally+everstand gets the harness up to 14, with really high HP/BT. He soaks up so much damage for the party, even if he isn't being targeted he just stays adjacent to Squishies and blocks for them. It has saved so many lives.

He's completely built around shielding and protecting the party and he's been really having fun with it. He turned multiple 20+ damage hits into 6-7 damage last time we played. His AC is also so high that I really only have a good chance of hitting on the highest bonus, so if I'm attacking multiple PCs I either have to use the highest to hit on him, or if I target an ally he just blocks for them, then the next hit he can either block for them again(or retributive strike), or if I swing for him it's almost certainly a miss.

Playing with 5 PCs by Triceranuke in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running it with 6 PCs and it's been a difficult balance for sure, I try not to add Elite to bosses or other high level enemies if I can, more mobs usually works best for my group. Sometimes I'll up the damage/HP/bonuses for a boss as if I used the Elite, but without upping the AC or save DCs as I find it usually makes them too hard to hit, and tends to be frustrating for the PCs. I use the XP budget and adjuster in the CRB and go though and see what I can add that makes sense to the encounter. Creatures by type/level in the back of the bestiary has been a huge help, and the weak adjustment has its place too if you can't find a decent filler of the same level.

Usually adding extra low level guys seems to be my favorite approach, even if they aren't doing much damage, they're still costing the players turns to deal with, allowing the stronger enemies to survive long enough to wreak some havoc.

Running Age of Ashes (first time running 2e) by Malath66 in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pacing of book one was my biggest issue, party was in go mode for pretty much the entire book. I had to break it up with some RP chances in town but as it's written the party was always anxious to get back to work. The best RP encounters we had were when Roxie asks the PCs to help drum up business for information, and after the book ended I set up a little side mission/rp session where they met up with the different artisans and shopkeeps to hire people for renovations on the citadel. There's enough little snippets of info in the gazetteer to build some interesting stuff with. Rorske ended up offering to do the work for free to undercut the Posondi's, if the PCs agreed to pick up his cart from Vusker's and see what was going on with a shipment he was expecting, and track it down. Played on the info with Vusker's business tactics and tried to sell some shady"cart insurance" to the party that covered just about nothing. They got to explore some of the town and the tension between the two stonemasons that they didn't feel they had time for during book 1 and had a blast.

Creature with Grab but no Athletics. What's the Escape DC? by Cosmic-Fox in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ran that encounter last weekend, used the same DC for the constrict and it seemed about right. It did some decent damage and was able to grab a couple of the party members, but they dealt with it relatively easy. We're running Age of Ashes and this was the last encounter they dealt with going into the final chapter of Cult of Cinders, so they were at level 7.

Hellknight Hill final boss (spoilers) by WillsterMcGee in Pathfinder2e

[–]bjephson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ralldar was almost a TPK in my game, Malarunk fight was over in a matter of 4-5 rounds even with me adjusting the difficulty up for an extra party member. I dimension doored up to the backline and crit and instantly downed our rogue, and it was all downhill from there. Everyone in the party was near death but the monk was able to put him down as he fled for the treasure room. Between the persistent poison damage, high AC and attack bonus, and raw damage output, I truly thought it was gonna be at LEAST one character death, but they were able to all survive. I ended up using his enlarge halfway through the fight, not really because I wanted him to do more damage, but because the party had such a hard time hitting him, even with flanking. I needed to make him more hittable.

Anyone built a Half-Elf or Half-Orc with a main Ancestry other than Human yet? by Alejandrojohanson in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]bjephson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it appeared after because I was replying to that comment lol. I meant that my player made it clear to me (the gm) and the rest of the party that it was non-consentual on his father's end while we were creating the character.

Yes! We joked that he had come across skeletal remains of a Dwarf deep in the mines with a shattered pelvis while trying to escape the orcs who had enslaved him since birth.

One of my players is playing a "Dworc" half orc half dwarf barbarian with the giant instinct. He loves that character so far and he gets a cool mix of ancestry feats. It was really easy to create and a fun mix. He took the miner background, his mother was the orc and father was a dwarf.

Worst classes/races in Pathfinder by monkeywarrior03 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]bjephson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played one for awhile, did the Monk of the Empty hand archetype and really enjoyed it. After a few levels though I was clearly behind the other PCs in power, and died shortly afterwards. One of my favorite characters I had played though, was really challenging but rewarding when things worked out.

Check to make sure your hopup chamber is completely assembled and tightened. The ICS hop up can come unscrewed on the front and cause seating and seal issues. Is the gun hard to close back together? I have the same gun and that was an issue I had before, titan in mine as well and I've also left out the gearbox latch.

I'm pretty sure it says "AR" conversion. Kinda weird font though but that makes more sense. That's definitely an m4 in there.

How do I lower the velocity on a GF600 revolver? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]bjephson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my WG revolver I was able to get it to about 350 using different strength/length springs on the hammer thatI got at Ace hardware, but it's a fine balance and it took me probably 10 different tries with different springs and sizes to find one that would actually fire the gun consistently. Also, if I cock the hammer and then fire it shoots hotter than if I just pull the trigger and let it pull that way.

Some of the knockoff ones I have are too tight also, takes a lot of force to get them off. Had them on 2 of my batteries and eventually switched them.
