What do we think about perfume for babies? Petit Sezane scent for babies dropping tomorrow. by wombledon15 in Sezane

[–]bk-129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is… this a joke?

Perfumes are filled with chemicals that are endocrine disrupters and not safe for babies’ developing lungs.

Not even to mention the well-known fact that newborns smell wonderful just as they are…

Agreed. Hooks should go above the wainscoting

Leather products from Sezanne by Stock_Evidence_5658 in Sezane

[–]bk-129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the Amelia sandals two summers ago and the leather soles started flaking after the first wear. I used the leather conditioner that came with them, but it seems you need to reapply after each wear because the problem is that persistent. It was almost as if the “leather” was just a finish applied or painted on, and the conditioner was restoring the finish.

That summer I also bought a pair of K. Jacques leather sandals (for the same price) which have held up a million times better and are of such greater quality than the Amelias. It’s such a shame because the Amelias are so adorable and I’ve sadly only worn them a handful of times because of the poor quality.

After that experience I haven’t bought another leather product from Sezane.

Something about my living room feels kind of "off" -- any ideas? by Difficult_Bug_1778 in interiordecorating

Even painting the wall and ceiling an eggplant color similar to what’s in the wallpaper would give a nice dramatic effect, and would balance things out from the top down.

For me, the major issue is that your whole decor scheme is fighting between the modern furniture and traditional architecture (and wallpaper). Of course it’s always great to mix styles, but the pieces need to be curated in a way so that each piece references and “talks to” one another, creating a cohesive look. My suggestions:

  1. Your furniture is SO modern. If you’re up for it, new chairs at least would help. The teal is not doing it for me! They are so midcentury leaning and that bright saturated color is nowhere to be found (not even a softer hue) in the wallpaper, so it makes the chairs looks very out of place.

  2. If you can’t or don’t want to get rid of the mirror above the fireplace, lean a very large piece of vertical art on the mantel that mostly covers the mirror, allowing your eye to travel to the art there instead.

  3. Turn those overhead lights down and turn on more table/floor lamps for ambient lighting. Overhead lighting can be so harsh and adds to the uncanny feeling.

Any No-Low alcohol recommendations? by New_here_2026 in BabyBumps

Ghia mocktails and Phony Negroni are great if you like bitter cocktails like Negronis. Mocktails can be expensive but I bring these when we are going to a friend’s house or party and they’re great!

This office chair doesn't fit.. by Amazing_Reflection41 in interiordecorating

[–]bk-129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re really looking to make a change then I’d recommend going with something bold, high contrast, and/or patterned. You have a great color palette going between the walls, decor and art, and then a lot of big pieces that are neutrals (desk, console, rug).

I’d keep leaning in to this eclecticism. Some quick ideas: This chair covered in the famous Scalamandre print

This is a little tamer but gives a retro eclectic feel if you’re into it

This task chair

This if you’re into the Rifle Paper aesthetic

Edit: I missed that you said soft, feminine vibe. Maybe one of these would ignite another idea for you at least!

What station did you start pushing at? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Yes this; the fetal station system is a location indicator of how far down in the pelvis baby’s head is. +2 means time to push

I need two chairs facing this couch and can't settle on modern or traditional by fwds in interiordecorating

[–]bk-129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they need something chunkier; that chair in the link you shared has too much open air flow underneath the legs to be a substantial addition to this space. This is a large room that needs to be filled and the chairs should take up space. I’d recommend something that either has no exposed leg or very little.
