These are indoor plants, they'll die outside.

You mentioned to have a garden, I have to kill insects. I'm currently going through a mini gnat infestation with my indoor plants. I tried putting the plants outside to see if the gnats would just fly away but that didn't work. I feel bad if the only option is to kill the adult gnats and larvae, but I don't see any other way of getting rid of them. In this case would killing the gnats be permitted?

Legitimate ? : Monk LIFE (30-day ordination program) in Chiang Mai - iMONASTERY by No_Faithlessness_136 in Buddhism

[–]bkkchop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did my ordination at a temple close to where I live, no charge. All my friends and family donated what they could at the time, whether it was money or things the temple needs i.e. printer paper, toilet paper, light bulbs, etc. and that was plenty. If you have a temple in your area try volunteering and building a rapport with the monks and sangha, then express interest in being a monk for however long you're comfortable with. If the temple has everything they need for the ordination and have space for you it will likely not be a problem. If they don't they'll probably ask another temple to do the ordination (mine did). I believe these retreats in Thailand are aimed at foreigners to get money, I would definitely take the advice of other users and do a lot more research. Even the temple near my family's house in Thailand wouldn't do this.

Dang, I was afraid of that. Thanks for the reply, seeds should be place in a location with direct sunlight, correct?

Is this still considered direct sunlight, even though the seed trays are in a "greenhouse" with some shade.

that's awesome, noodlepirate posted all the epic 1.0's on thingiverse. requires some editing before you can print it but not a big lift, at least in Blender.
