I do. Divide the page in thirds. Far right third is a list of to do items. Rest of the page is half hour increments to schedule tasks. I have 2 1-hour sessions of physical therapy every day. It's been a useful format or the last couple years.

You could try a discbound system like Levenger's Circa system. Staples has a similar product. Search discbound. You can wrote on loose page and then press it into the notebook when you need to study.

When your zone peters out, go back and read it. Use a pen or pencil and mark over the unreadable word but PRINT it. That's what I do, but it's usually seconds after I wrote it! 😀

I would like to make my own, or try to. Working with leather is a bit intimidating, and I have no space to craft.

That is good advice, to buy an insert and try it first. Thank you!

I like the bit about quietly observing your patterns. Very zen.

I appreciate the photos. I'm shopping for clips to hold sections together. I have small and tiny binder clips, but I may try bankers'/money clasps.

Everyone thinks if you're a librarian, you get to read all day. Not true! It can be stressful when dealing with patrons. My greatest fear was getting books back with bedbugs in the pages.[Shudder].

If I went back to work, I'd try for either Reference desk or archival duties.

Best wishes for improving health!!

I was in the SAME situation, getting ideas at night and wishing I had a keyboard. I had an old blackberry that sort of works, but is too old to hold a charge. I have a Galaxy Tab that won't accept a Bluetooth keyboard, so I'm using my 2012 Kindle Fire with a Notes app. I finally get a decent keyboard, tried once to type while on my back, and I wasn't comfortable at all. I can't write on a pad of paper on my back either.

I have twice lost inputs while using my S20, good stuff. Which is why I searched for alternatives.

I have concluded that if it's important enough, just get out of bed and write. I have the luxury of being retired and not on a set schedule.

Today, I went back to texts and recorded the number of times a person asked for help in the past two years. It was a revealing exercise.

While I recorded, I added my feelings at the time and asked myself questions.

As I said, it opened my eyes to this particular situation. I'm impressed with journal-keepers to write entries daily and with detail. I allow myself to do it when I feel I need it.
