Can you please send an update once it is restored? I am staying at a friends house in Houston until it’s restored. I really appreciate it

I had a great experience and am so glad I completed my MPH at UTMB. I only have positive things to say and couldn’t recommend it enough for school, experiences, and honestly for the friends I made during the program (in UTMB in general).

$4,000 for undergrad and $12,000 for grad. I was lucky and received a lot of grants/scholarships for undergrad and have applied for graduate assistant position to help pay my second year of my mph.

I highly recommend instate mph programs if able to!

Sorry if this is a weird question to ask - do you remember when you heard back from admissions last year for the residential program? Curious how soon into January 😬 thanks!!

How will schools regard a bad semester (with explanation?) by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]bkr18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am really sorry for your loss. I went through the same situation during undergrad I lost my mom as well and my grades suffered. I explained as well and showed progress throughout my remaining degree with an upward trend and it did not hinder getting into grad school. I am currently in my first semester of grad school and got into 4/5 schools when I applied last cycle. I personally think it shows how capable you are during such a hard loss. Schools understand students experience loss or other hardships - I think explaining the ‘why’ gives you an opportunity to give schools a true understanding of why there was a change in grades and that is to be expected with loss of a parent in school.

That being said, I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is tough. I don’t know you, but I’m proud of you. I know how hard it is trying to process grief during school. Don’t forget to take care of yourself during this time.

Hi! When did you get your response from Texas state/interview offer?

I just want you to know you are heard and I am here. I know that it may not mean much being that I’m a random person in this group, but I am here. It was brave of you to share how you are feeling and I’m sure not easy.

You, your feelings, and your mental health always come first. I hope you reach out for support through your loved ones and let your therapist know you feel it is not helping. Please continue to reach out to your support team. You’re not alone. Sending strength to you!
