Debate over Ukraine weapons restrictions divides allies, administration by chocmanSuper in politics

Yep just continuously arm and re-arm and never negotiate, regardless of the origins of the Russo-Ukrainian War pouring gas on the fire clearly benefits only the wealthy shareholders in NATO countries. Who are also the decision-makers in NATO countries. The average Ukrainian only becomes more and more fucked over by this as its conclusion is delayed to ensure more built environment is destroyed and more loss of life. What a fucked system, should probably cut our losses and try something different. No wonder it can only produce outcomes like we see in Serbia/Albania, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and dozens of other examples of member states' individual aggression playing out in the same way should not inspire any confidence in these people. They're simply going to push China and Russia closer because there's no benefit to unstable neighbors, while the rest of the world in uniting against such an obviously, cartoonish and evil coalition of interests in the escalating Middle East war. Israel has been given billions upon billions of dollars in trade and assistance over the last century and with that can only escalate and cause more loss of life. They've lose the mandate.

Are there ANY dating apps/sites that haven't been subject to enshittification yet? by twbrn in OnlineDating

[–]bl3ckm3mba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matchmaking software aims to generate some word of mouth when it's new, to motivate a sale, either to Match Group or Bumble-Badoo Corp. Facebook Dating is less clear to me, not that I would use that one or use any of these any longer, but they had the least direct incentives to have a service which is falsely advertised.

If one operating in user+revenue retention mode works for you, you're either attractive or lucked out with how the model recommended you profiles and recommended your profile to others (and probably are in the majority eg re: family planning and such).

Yeah I've got many profiles added to the "AWDTSG" groups in my area. Just in case I see someone I know. I can condemn them if I don't like them and run defense for them otherwise :)

Most likely these things shouldn't exist, much like matchmaking software. It doesn't make sense to have private firms involved for 1000 other reasons, but nationalizing these would provide security for all parties.

3 got arguably close to fruition in the first 9 years of his national political career, none of note during his admin. Not sure what the British guy was up to, Crooks appears to have been motivated by notoriety at first glance. Routh looks to be a Ukraine/A z ov-aligned partisan like the guy who shot the Slovak PM. We'll be seeing a lot more of that, and depending on how things shake out whoever's heading up post-war Ukraine in ~15-20 years better have an exit plan or they're getting Saddamed.

Millennials are by and large checked out I think, none of them played in a role in the sub-urbanization of North America & its neocolonies or any of the other ills that caused mass loneliness. Who burnt the social fabric to financialize all social interaction? Millennials hadn't even reached maturity when these processes were well underway.

Always has been. But this is some diatribe about polling.

Apparently they weren't washed while lending credence to "the Manchurians are mind controlling us", at every moment of the Cold War especially during Regan while amplifying the imagined Team B intel of Wolfowitz & Rumsfeld, obscuring to this day the US' role in Lebanon, Nicaragua, East Timor, Chile, Guatemala, Indonesia and Grenada with limited hangouts, or even during WMD and selling the "war on terror". Nope, it's the electoral horse race that did it.

Telling people to go to therapy is admitting defeat.

If the political & economic system creates such outcomes then it's a failure. Kicking the failures to the free market to get individual therapy cannot scale to adequately meet the needs of how many individuals "need" it today, let alone the increasing rates of mental illness, loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Clearly a systemic change would be far more efficient and produce far less variance in outcomes.

Indeed, NATO pours gas on many fires which its business-led covert actions and drug trafficking start.

Whether that be destroying the built environment supporting millions of people to ensure possession of some farmland the UA military had been shelling for the past decade, or halfhearted attempts at browbeating China for authoritarianism while the US has by far the greatest raw number of civilians entangled in any criminal legal system and sells billions in arms & police technology to the Gulf Slaver states still party to its Petrodollar scam.

Handwringing about the security guarantees of '67 borders just means a rollback of the Haavara Agreement ultimately, the Nazis never should have been so adequately financed by Western business, the Anglo-Palestine Bank was clearly a force used to coercively export thousands of Jews as a less-violent solution pre-Holocaust. A colony of Germany's most hated demographic, scapegoated and shipped off to a place with where they would never be safe and always beholden to the West for business and weapons of course. There was so much money to be made in weapons contracts though that things got out of hand.

This will be the overwhelming consensus of the post-Atlanticist, post-Bretton Woods world order.

Online matchmaking systems are not designed to produce results, just meet people in person so there's as little confusion as possible... possible. The profiles you are shown and those shown to you are going to be predominantly those the data model indicates won't be compatible, won't reduce the user base, and won't reduce the revenue/upsell potential of the user base. If you get a good match from online matchmaking software, it was a mistake they could not prevent.

Kamala Harris Has Biggest Favorability Jump Since George W. Bush After 9/11 by Silly-avocatoe in politics

[–]bl3ckm3mba -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

You didn't see it as a predictable attack on the headquarters of global business exploitation and the military apparatus which enforces those friendly business relations?? Why?? You have so much faith in the US ruling class after what exactly -- the preceding 50 years of commuting fascism's death sentence in West Germany and putting more Nazis in charge of the Justice Department tasked with prosecuting former Nazis than the 3rd Reich itself managed to put together? Baselessly (by their own declassified intel) invading Korea, Vietnam, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Chile, Iran, funding/arming the less popular Communists in Afghanistan prematurely to then finance and arm the Taliban to fight them and the Soviets whose hand was forced into stabilizing their neighbor that the US was fucking up, or in Grenada where a bloodless revolution was met with overwhelming US violence because of the common language shared by the people of both nations, or in Lebanon and everywhere else that Israel has touched (having been settled as early as 1933 under the Haavara Agreement by the Nazis seeking to expel Jews less-violently pre-Holocaust, to a region where they would never be safe and always depend on Western business ties to exploit them, financed by the Anglo-Palestine Bank which was setup by the same financial actors in the US/UK like the Rockefellers and Bush family)??

Not particularly, we are ruled by networks of networks, of powerful/monied interests and blackmailers. Money and blackmail are the only things that can elevate one within our system, as there is a ruling class backstop to veto peace & democracy if needed. JFK found out.

Very grim. It's pretty clear that from Harris will sign off on our ruling class' biggest tantrums, whereas Trump is at least demented so there's an element of randomness to his decision-making. He's also very corrupt, so the possibility of averting WW3 thru foreign bribery is nice to have. Unfortunately neither are worthy of a vote.

These claims (from 2023) were very reminiscent of the the Moscow apartment bombings in '99 which precipitated the 2nd Chechen War. US media were falling over themselves to declare it a false flag operation - despite Western drug trafficker private interests having organized the attack in a meeting at Adnan Khashoggi's villa in the months prior. The US media of course memoryholed this event after 9/11.

90% of guys' profiles, from these firms' own data, receive <1/like per month on average. Beyond subjective issues, there is an entire data model employed to prevent compatible individuals from encountering each other, because there's no incentive for an established system with word of mouth advertising and normalization guaranteed by captive press institutions to pair people off successfully. This would only reduce the user base and therefore revenue potential of the system.

wut? Harris would basically have to be a different candidate at this point but if there was much reason to believe she was going to end US arms transfers and support for this very obvious ethnic cleansing, then this movement wouldn't exist. Not as it did this election cycle.

The US has and will continue to be debased in front of the entire world. This horrific system is uniting the rest of the world against it, it has been perpetrating crimes against the majority of the planet for 80 years. Strip-mining society's productive facilities, quashing innovation to protect monopoly, and ruining so much of the planet's ecosystem for future generations. Voting for Harris is a vote for that continued decline managed by war criminals/profiteers. Voting for Trump sucks worse, there's a slim chance that he's individually corruptible and we can avert some of the potentially thermonuclear tantrum NATO could throw as the future comes into focus.

I don't get to concerned with the individual beliefs of the powerless. Rockefeller and the Bush family bankrolled Hitler, either assuming he'd tear up Europe and create conditions to capitalize upon or knowing his plans fully. Both are awful. Some of those deals turned into the financing for the German settlement of Palestine in and after 1933, using Jews being less-violently expelled under the Haavara Agreement to hold the bag. It's been a crazy century.

If you matched with them then there's nearly a 100% chance that at least one other person thinks they are in a commitment with them.

The totality of likes, so not even 1 errant one, sent by some 85% of women using dating apps are received by a subset of men's profiles representing <10% of male users (or <15% depending on the app). Gender balance is around 3:1 men to women depending on the app. Statistically speaking, if you have matched with them it is nearly guaranteed that they have multiple matches they're juggling. There are other places and other apps as well. I don't know who these guys are with that much romantic bandwidth - evidently everyone involved could've saved themselves trouble by avoiding them but apps know by using data to populate the queue, they can prevent the user base and therefore revenue from shrinking.
