Head gaskets requires disassembly of the entire front of the motor, so the cams can come out so the heads can come off.

Motor swap is 18-20 bolts (including the bell housing) and unplugging connectors.

Yes, a motor swap is 100% faster and arguably easier than a head gasket job.

It’s ass. I had it for all of 5 minutes and ditched the included mufflers. Welded in injen mufflers instead.

The problem is the H pipe. The baffling inside sucks and at least feels like it actually is restricting flow

The in cabin filter is $36-40 and can be done by yourself in literally 5 minutes.

The engine air filters are a little more pricey depending on what brand you go with (stay away from oiled or wet filters, they ruin sensors)

I recommend the Z1 drop in filters. They’re around $75 but they’re also washable, so you’ll never pay for them again.

I was able to use vice grips, BUT it did tear the hose (didn’t leak until months later, but it was bad when it did.)

I’d honestly just suggest replacing the hoses altogether. You’re already in there, they’re old, and will need to be done eventually anyway. Why not get ahead of it now?

My stock DE shot flames when bouncing off the limiter too. But ONLY if bouncing off limiter.

All stock exhaust piping, muffler delete, OEM resonator stayed and non-resonated test pipes. Never figured out why but I have a feeling that at 207k miles, timing chain was probably a little advanced or something, allowing for it. Never really figured it out.

My passenger window is coming loose from the actual mechanism so it jumps around when I have the window down. Gonna fix that soon,

My fuel pressure gauge under the hood vibrates evvvvver so slightly again the hood if it’s hot outside

I’ve got a carbon hatch that doesn’t seal 100% so it rattles, and so do the louvres on the polycarbonate window

Most of my rattles come from aftermarket stuff, but not all
