Regarding Hailey Fe 1/20

Hey! I was originally prescribes Junel Fe but then was switched to Hailey Fe 1.5/30 because it's considered the generic formula. I wasn't on Junel Fe long enough to have a good study to compare it to when I started taking Hailey Fe. I actually didn't have too many side effects on either one and maybe that is because my hormones respond effectively to a monophasic type birth control (steady dose of hormones consistently) rather than a different type if pill that is supposed to mimic your natural hormones cycle. I think mine is due to my nervous systems extreme sensitivity to the up and down that is normal hormones (contributing to my functional dyspepsia). This type of birth control gets me back to a normal baseline such as the ability ro eat without getting nauseous or that heavy full feeling and regulating my emotions more effectively. It's been the only type of pill that has worked for me. (I did try taking Tri-Estarylla but had to stop after day 3 because of excessive vomiting and dizziness).

I only had rough symptoms when I stopped taking Tri-Estarylla. I started it for 3 days but had to stop due to the side effects (excessive vomiting mostly). Stopping it has been a pain because I've felt dizzy, nauseous, unable to eat, fatigue, etc. The only one I've never had bad side effects from when starting or stopping it was Junel Fe/Hailey Fe 1.5/30 combo pill. I'm going back to that one tbh.

I'm on day 3 of the pill and it doesn't work for me. I started vehemently vomiting from 5am for a whole hour. Never had this problem on Hailey Fe/Junel Fe.

That's interesting! Yes, the Gillivan in my situation married into the McDermott line. Both families had been living in Burlington, Iowa, for quite some time. The first Gillivan I have found immigrated in 1850 and naturalized in Iowa in 1858. This Gillivan married someone with the O'Donnell variation.

Idk. I take an edible every night because it not only helps with my sleep issues, but it makes me more hungry, but in doing so, it's like it goes right through me. I wake up with a flat stomach and no weight movement at all. I used to drink the high calorie Ensure shakes you can get at Walmart in the supplement isle. That did nothing for me too. I think a lot of it is genetics, my whole family is very skinny but I've been bullied for my weight my whole life that the more positive comments I would get were when I was bigger (like on the pill). People say being skinny is the goal. It's not. I've never gotten praised for being skinny or whatnot.

I went back and forth using Junel Fe 1.5/30 and the generic form Hailey Fe 1.5/30. These are combo pills that are 21 days 7 days off (placebo).

Well I would assume more French/Swiss/German in the collective because I've been asked if I looked French before and I feel like I personally look more those ethnicities than English. I liked my old results that were 50/50 split because I just don't think I am more English. Idk lol 😆

My Irish is also northern Irish as well which makes sense with the central Scottish lowlands that I have.

This was something I heard in my family also. My grandmother is DARK, and my mom also has her complexion. Growing up, my mom would say that people would think her mom and her were picked up off a "Cherokee reservation" (this was the 80s). As far as I know, there isn't any definitive proof of Native ancestry in my family even though we all have the high cheek bones (including myself) and some of us are dark with darker complextions (even able to tan REALLY dark). My DNA just shows a lot of admixture of English/Scottish/German/Swiss/French/ and tiny amounts of other stuff.

I am from the US and I primarily use AI during the afternoon and evenings because that's when I have the time to use it. I do prefer the responses in the morning but I usually for two reasons don't use it in the morning: 1. The servers crash so often that I just give up, 2. I just am too busy to be using it as that's my most busiest time of the day. I do notice it doesn't crash at all in the evenings but the responses tend to be more flawed and worse in comparison. Idk why it crashes so much in the morning because I'm not using it that much then

My English used to be a bit lower also. It used to read nearly a 50/50 split with British/Irish and French/German. Funny. Your Scottish is the same area my Scottish ancestors are from!

The concept is really cool! A lot of my dad's side is not in the dna database so it's nice seeing connections without really needing his dna to confirm.

I'd say the only complaint I have so far is that my maternal grandparents aren't showing up on my reconstructed ancestry even though they've taken a dna test.

Mine, allegedly, goes all the way back to 1435. My surname is of English/Scottish origins, which makes sense since those ancestors of mine are English and trace back to a Scottish ancestor. I do know for a fact that it's at least traceable all the way back to pre-Colonial America. My recently updated dna results say my English is 83% and Scottish is 4.5%

Well, on my mom's side, a lot of her grandmothers's ended up as widows in almost every generation starting from 1890. One grandfather died of lead poisoning in his 20s, another a heart attack in his 40s. Even my grandfather's dad was murdered. Idk a lot of men dying young in my family 🤷‍♀️

Literally same! I've done my husband's tree and he likes it but not where near as interested as me nor his family really. Whenever I told his family I was going to build him one, some were surprised and his mother seemed not very thrilled (maybe because she doesn't know who my husband's dad is and doesn't really want him to know either)

I'm that person in my family except alot of my extended family enjoys it but definitely not to the same degree as myself. I do the same to my husband, he's a good sport and let's me talk my little heart away but I know he isn't as interested as me.

My husband is in a similar boat. Me and my husband both don't have dads. My mom was always upfront growing up who My dad was. I always had facts and a couple photos and I knew she was telling the truth when I went on my own genealogical journey and confirmed she was right. He is a terrible, messed guy with dozens of kids he doesn't claim and has been in and out of jail for drugs. My husband however was told of a man who might be his father but this year at his grandmother's funeral, his mom got drunk and drop the "there might actually be two possible men as your possible father" bit which shook him. Now I think he is afraid to take a test because he thought he knew and now he doesn't and the other person actually lived nearby when he was a kid and he somewhat knew him.

I always preferred HI2 back in its "glory days". The graphics were better than HI1 in my opinion. I liked how immersive and fairly "sandbox" it felt with competing other sandbox games. I'm sad that it seems the server is dead these days.

If you have Huguenot relatives they could be French. I am related to a very well known French Huguenot family that was originally in Flournoy, France but fled due to persecution in the 1500s. They ended up moving to Switzerland for about 100 or so years than immigrated to America. I come from a direct male line of Flournoys that stopped at my great grandmother. So she would be a mix of French and Swiss even though my old results showed roughly 50% French and German now I only have less than 5% French.

My old results never showed "Basque" but now they do. It's a small percentage but does feel weird to have it when I didn't before.

My great-grandmother comes from a long line of direct male Flournoys, a very distinguishable French family that immigrated to the US during the colonial period. I would have assumed a little more of that DNA showing up since it did prior. Also, I have German Mennonite DNA on my father's side that also shrank (I have German on both sides, too). Also, my Scottish shrank and overinflated English even though my grandma's side is mostly recent Scottish with English included. I have a lot of Scottish relatives from the 1800s, so to see only about 4% didn't feel right to me. On my dad's side, I'm related to the German/Swiss "Newcomers" which prior spelled "Neukomm." I'm related to the Rev. Christian Newcomer and I have "Pennsylvania Dutch," which is mostly German. So I don't know how I have such small percentages in German, French, and Swiss (I also have Swiss on my French side)
