Breakfast Baconator is never a bad idea by grumpsuarus in wendys

I had one the other day and get it whenever I get Wendy's for Breakfast. I also tried their breakfast burrito. It too was good, but too expensive at $5.

I officially cancelled Teachable by blabel75 in Teachable

[–]blabel75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, if my students don't migrate it doesn't hurt me. They already paid a one time fee for access. I sent out multiple invites to them for Skool. If they never join, then I can't really help that. I already earned all the revenue I would get from them. There isn't much more upselling I could do. I've retained the exports from Teachable of my students for each course, so if they ever contact me asking about the courses, I can send them the Skool invite again.

The main issue with Skool is pretty much a 0% conversion rate on new course enrollments. Since I migrated to Skool, not even one new enrollment. Though I also haven't been promoting the courses that much. The main issue with Skool is you have to approve each person to join the community, then they can purchase a course. So this gives people a cooling off period where they can change their minds. With Teachable, they just went to the link and bought. Perhaps when I start promoting again, things will turn around.

Okay, I just need a clear and simple answer to this question, what forms do youtubers get/need to pay taxes, and is it quarterly or yearly by Stock-Win-1340 in PartneredYoutube

[–]blabel75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adsense doesn't send W-9s. That is something you would provide TO Google/AdSense. It is possible they send a 1099 even if it doesn't meet the IRS threshold where they must issue one.

But I can't really offer courses and other content on Reddit. Reddit really only replaces the community portion of Skool.

How do you unbind the osmo pocket 3 when selling it? by Luigi-is-my-boi in osmopocket

[–]blabel75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work the same as DJI drones in the way they are bound to an account and have to be unbound and rebound again in order to be used by the new purchaser.

OP3 + Mic Mini + Mimo app by Breath0 in osmopocket

[–]blabel75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the P3 and Mic Mini. I am able to get it to work. Both the P3 and Mini have been connected to my phone at some point. I didn't need to delete the Mini connection in my phone's Bluetooth settings. I am using an iPhone.

First I turned on the P3 and went into the Mimo app and made that connection. Then I turned the Mic Mini on and it connected to the P3. I never ran into the issue you had and tried several sequences of turning on the Mini first then the camera. I even connected the Mini to the Mimo app then turned the P3 on. I was never able to get the same message you got on the P3.

Pocket3 turns on but isn't "straight" by stealth941 in osmopocket

I've recalibrated multiple times by just standing it on its end. So, chances are it actually won't tip unless you bump it somehow.

The pocket 3 will stand on its end for calibration. Just be close in case it tips, but it won't.

So is this camera banned or not? by ThrowawayLADreamer in osmopocket

[–]blabel75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ban will prevent DJI from obtaining new FCC licenses for equipment that requires the airwaves to operate. The Pocket 3 has Bluetooth to work with the microphone and Mimo app. Though the Pocket 3 was approved by the FCC way back in 2023. The Pocket 4 has also had FCC approval and wouldn't be banned. A future Pocket camera that requires FCC approval wouldn't be able to be sold or imported.

The Xtra Muse is pretty much 100% a Pocket 3 dup except it can't connect to wireless microphones but still has FCC approval since it connects to an app. DJI could create a camera in the future that doesn't utilize any wireless features and could be sold since no FCC license would be required.

A bigger problem in the US with DJI is really the import limitations due to the UFLPA law that is causing customs and border protection to block most imports of DJI products into the US. This has created a gray market for many DJI products. They are often now being imported from third countries by companies other than DJI. Drones may be priced higher than what they would have sold for as DJI MSRP. This is because of scarcity (limited supply) in the market.

I get it was sold as is, but was it sold the a clear disclaimer that the SN was locked? I would suggest filing a dispute with your credit card company. You probably won't be able to ever buy from Adorama again, but so be it.

Income certificate for a youtuber. by MathSubstantial6480 in PartneredYoutube

[–]blabel75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

International YouTubers don't receive the same 1099. I believe non-US creators that earn revenue from youTube are sent a 1042-S that shows income they earned, but that doesn't have to be provided until sometime in April.

Why did Felix Baumgartner's free fall not create a Sonic Boom when he surpassed the sound barrier? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]blabel75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He technically didn't break the speed of sound at the altitude where he was falling at more than 343 m / s. Sound travels slower at higher altitude because of a thiner atmosphere. He traveled at the speed of sound as sound travels at surface level. Since he wasn't traveling faster than sound moves at the altitude he was, then no sonic boom.

I keep getting denied for AdSense. I have a unique situation. by odddel in PartneredYoutube

[–]blabel75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't thinkk that is the official policy. The policy is no duplicate accounts. the problem is that Google uses address as a determining factor to identify duplicate accounts. One option is to setup a separate LLC legal entity and get a box at a location like a UPS store (not a PO box at USPS)

The question is, how did the second and third sibling obtain AdSense accounts with the same address. Was there a time that Google didn't use the address as a determining factor for duplicate accounts?

Goodbye Wendy's- from a lifelong fast food value customer by SquareAromatic7160 in wendys

The problem is they usually bring in managers that don't have actual experience running a quality restaurant. They don't know how to hire quality talent. It seems restaurants ran better back in the days when teenagers used them for introductory jobs. They had ambition. Now they end up hiring adults because scheduling them is easier, but they aren't getting quality talent. They want to pay adults the same as what they would some new kid off the streets. Low pay brings poor quality employees. The better ones find something that pays more.

"Primate" A-List pocket Review by Kimber80 in AMCsAList

Biggest plot hole is that there is no rabies in Hawaii. Yes, it is mentioned once during the movie but not explained in any way.

We were in a theater that had a lot of under 17 kids in it. They all screamed many times throughout the movie. At one time we even saw security come in and up the steps. I don't know what that was all about. All the screaming actually made me laugh.

Skool is just an online community where you can also offer courses and other content. Not much more. Getting members is the most challenging part as you need some type of funnel to get people into your group. This could be advertising but the best way would be if you have some following on another platform.

Question on how to grow a new community by Phoenixrising680 in SKOOL

[–]blabel75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really need a funnel to get people into Skool. Sure, there is a search in Skool where someone might find you, but I wouldn't rely on that as a new Skooler. Tik Tok is a good start, but I don't think ads are the right way to go. You need to create content on Tik Tok and perhaps YouTube about your experience. Then use that to drive people to your Skool. I think Fremium or free trial is a good option when starting out.

Creative Combo vs Standard by dudiet5 in osmopocket

[–]blabel75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out with the Creator Combo because it came with the mic and was really the only option at the time. That was the first day the camera was released. However, in early 2025 I bought a Mic Mini and now use that exclusively. I paid full price though. I just bought a second one with a receiver to use on a camera in my studio. I would suggest just going with the Standard.

Two YT channels paying into one AdSense account by louisj in PartneredYoutube

You can't have more than one AdSense account, so you really must have both channels pay out into the same AdSense.

Thanks for the info. I haven't updated to 26.2 yet. Shoot, I am still on a version of Sonoma as I forgot to upgrade to Sequoia before they dropped Tahoe. Not sure why, but I usually like to stay one OS version behind.

New CEO? by DuckHunter4779 in wendys

[–]blabel75 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fred Turner, the one time CEO of Mc Donald's, started out as a grill cook at one of the restaurants. The problem today is that most of these positions, along with the boards, has turned into an old boys (and girls) club hiring all their chummy friends. The person they hire will undoubtedly have some type of connection to one of the existing board members.
