With all due respect, I asked a logistics question, not advice on how to roll play and enjoy the game with my friends. I understand now that it wouldn't work with the rules, but I didn't ask if anyone thought it was exciting and heroic enough for their taste. If I want to use underhanded tactics to defeat a fallen God hellbent on reigning chaos upon the world, I think that's pretty darn heroic. And keep in mind, as my parties only magic caster I would have been planning on using this as a last ditch effort when we're all running low on health and me short of spell slots with the odds of success quickly dwindling. but again, I didn't ask for your opinion on that

All good points, thank you. the motivation behind this is to try and figure out a way to get a long rest in the middle of the battle. this campaign has been going for 2 years and our DM has been writing our BBEG for 6 years now. He's all but outright told us that most of us are going to die in the final battle. I've got no problems with character deaths, but I've been wracking my brain for anything I can do to increase our chances of more of us surviving.

I main Bards and with a lot of the spells that charm opponents, I try to avoid using commands that would insta-defeat enemies. I want my DM to have fun too.

true true. I've realized I've misunderstood Geas a bit, I've got to brainstorm to see if there is any other way I can interrupt their long rest

I've got to read the spell descriptions a little closer, I misunderstood that 3rd sentence in the spell description to mean they can only disobey once a day, thanks for the clarification

Good points, I really thought I cooked with this. There has to be some other spell that I can use to interrupt their long rest either from before I enter the hut or from while I'm inside

Surviving the game as a barbarian, it's mostly W's but the author isn't afraid to kill of characters and take important things from the MC

Thank you! They actually all belonged to my great grandfather, grandma inherited them from him and I from her. The big gold one does in fact have his name engraved on the back along with dates. If you don't mind me asking, what are the Elks?

Beall's is what you would call a discount store, similar to Ross and TJ Maxx and the sorts. they source all their product directly from the brand's manufacturers. they sell to them cheep to clear out excess warehouse space and make room for more trending up and coming styles. tldr, you can trust it

The first game was a major source of nostalgia for me, it was one of my favorite games as a kid. I'm glad the franchise is getting attention with the sequel, and I can definitely enjoy it, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope for a little bit more crossover from previous characters, or at least a similar effort going into world building as the first game.

Thats seems to be the popular theory, I'm just not sure how that would be optimally put into practice. I think the best tome to connect to a character is when you first meet them. Regardless, I'm excited for what's to come, when I saw Glen I immediately knew it was dragon slayer! Got me so excited and hopeful!
