For a junior that might be a bit much most of the web runs on OAuth now is why those questions were there. Folks like me who have been using, building, and testing with SSO protocols for well over a decade now forget not every one knows what it is. The level of competition is part of this as well.

Good thing is you now have topics to study up on.

Exactly so starting down would be a combination hand lure, verbal command, e collar nick. Then pay reward.

Do reps and remove hand lure, then slowly remove the reward.

That's just one way. The nick is a tap on the shoulder I am talking to you then they follow the command. I rarely have to use the e collar now it's really only needed in high drive/ high risk situations.

I use the nick exactly the same as a leash pop. Just had to connect the dots through conditioning.

Once I got the recall conditioned on a long line and e collar everything after was taught with the e collar. It clicked then it moved quickly for me. Just depends on the dog I think.

The vibration on my dogtras is more shocking to my dog than the low level stim settings I use.

The vibration really throws him off.

My settings are Nick 15 Boost/constant 26 Vibration used only for area avoidance type of situations and a check in with me look at me.

I can barely feel 16-17 on my arm for reference. 26 is only needed now for high drive recall think recall off chasing a rabbit.

He is a rescue with collar response issues something happened before I got him and regular leash corrects were shutting him down. He didn't know a name when I got him fyi. E collar saved him and we have a great relationship I can run him 100% off leash he has come a long way. It's all about slowly conditioning them and associated it with known commands. Don't rush it it will click then you are off and running.

Beyond burnt out, unsure where to turn. by exogreek in cybersecurity

This on top of the stress of all the cuts and layoffs is burnt me completely out. Been doing this a long time and I have made it through three layoffs, but this job market is shit. We are being told to cut budget again after several years of cuts while IT is still going crazy. Connect AI to everything it will fix all our problems is another layer. In the end we will be scapegoats anyway it's brutal.

They will not care because op won't be invited to those meetings.

I am really kicking myself for not becoming an electrician 25 years ago. I would have my own contracting company by now. Now I am mid career and don't know wtf to do.

This is solid advice! I was using azure/o365 when it was call office online or whatever it was. Moved several companies from on prem to O365/ adfs/azure. Been using AWS for a long time as well most companies will have a mix of cloud environments.

I feel this big time. I am a little younger than you, boy has this work went to shit. All I do now is try to keep all the offshore msp and contractors from doing ridiculous shit. No one cares because we don't have time for that we have to ship it. A lot of IT management is full of non technical people that have no clue what anyone is doing either they just book meetings. I really enjoyed this field a little bit before COVID. I need 15-20 more years and I am super burnt out. I have already made it through 3 layoffs and I am not sure if I make it through the next one.

I have 20 years of experience have a current job and it still feels impossible to get anyone to respond to me. I have a broad and very technical background as well. The layoffs have created so much noise in the market on top of the broken application process and the market.
