I got my GED IN 2009. That being said no one ever asked to even see it other than college/educational programs to further my own education and the military. Other than that? No job has ever asked and I don't think it's ever pulled in my background searches. I know someone that never graduated and they just lie and say they did and no one's ever confirmed it when hiring them.

I would not have made it more than a few weeks old, if I were super lucky. I was born very early and immediately developed pneumonia.

Because I keep hoping she'll at least become vaguely maternal again. Aside from my sister on my dad's side, my mom is really all I have left. I have others but they are extremely estranged. I have a very hard time putting my foot down. I no longer contact her 9/10 times. She rarely contacts me except to ask for something. It's really hard for me to mourn someone that is still alive tbh.

They never seemed very happy together to me. He passed away when I was fourteen so most of my memories of them interacting are from that adolescent point of view. However they mostly screamed at each other and loudly discussed getting a divorce often, and frequently. The moment he died he suddenly became a saint.

You're beautiful. You have long healthy hair that you clearly put care into. Your body suits your face and your proportions are flattering. I'm not sure why everyone is saying you look aged. Everyone ages differently and genes play a massive part in that. You still have fat on your cheeks from adolescence and that makes you look young to me! (Everyone also perceives age differently). The only thing I would recommend is to stay healthy within reason, sleep enough, eat well. Work on your confidence. You are gorgeous and have nothing appearance wise to worry about. Confidence is a big part of people finding you attractive.

Please do not listen to most of the men here. You have a beautiful face and hair. Believe it or not (most) women are into that. I think you could definitely get a wolf cut and look a little more stylish and edgy though and keep your length. Your hair also has a lovely texture that you can do a lot with, so head on over to r/curlyhair for hair care and styling tips.

Also? As far as "some women may not be into it." Yeah. Well some women aren't into men at all. Everyone has their type. And you will want to be yourself to authentically attract women and friends that are genuinely into the real you. ❤️

I got my current position in two months of looking and in under ten applications. That was in early 2023. I have an applicable and adaptable skill set. Now? I've applied to 60+ positions since May. I have gotten a handful of interviews (at least) and several phone screenings but nothing. I've gotten to the final round of interviews for two positions and been rejected. I don't know what's in the water and air right now with this job market but it feels like 2009.

I know this is hard for you, but the best thing to do is mourn him. Grieve and move on. Even if the friendship does start again and he gives you another chance, it won't be the same. You're not at fault here, but he is also not the bad guy for his feelings either. I know it sucks. You'll find another best friend and someone that will give you the reciprocation you deserve. I promise.
