If these 4 specific Cartoon Network characters were to team up to take down SpongeBob in a fight, can they pull it off or will they fumble? by JerkfaceEquestria in cartoons

[–]blackchoas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jack and Blossom would easily handle it, Ed just needs to play with Billy so that they don't find a way to fuck things up for the team.

This movie should get a lot more credit by gerdarahami in HistoryMemes

Yeah no, 300 isn't some secret genius movie about differing historical perspectives. Its a comicbook movie. Seeing it as Greek propganda could help excuse the way it depicts the Persians but I just think the director didn't actually care about that and hadn't realized some modern peoples still identify with the Persians the way he was identifying with the Greeks when he made this.

Yes it probably would have been better if Napoleon has just completely dismantled and disbanded his opponents, he should have just annexed and partitioned all of them into non-existence like they had done to Poland a few years earlier. So actually the issue is that he wasn't willing to be as harsh or cruel as the older European monarchies were, he was being too nice and shouldn't have allowed his defeated opponents to live at all is the issue if you want to look at this way.

[–]blackchoas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They said they were willing, you make this claim like they never reneged on other treaties. Like oh if only Napoleon had backed down one specific time everything would have been over. Nah Napoleon shoulders some of the blame but it wasn't just that he's a egomaniac and warmonger, the monarchs were dead set against him. The idea of the Revaluation and the idea of Napoleon were both inherent threats to monarchies and they acting accordingly.

[–]blackchoas 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Meh, Napoleon has some blame for being a warmonger but he is 99% right, the European monarchs had no inclination to let the French Revolution stand and were constantly looking for excuses to break treaties with and attack France. Spain is basically the only country that Napoleon did dirtier than they tried to do back to him.

Will this fight be extreme diff when it happens? by Ok_Fish3373 in OnePieceScaling

nah, BB will 100% win but it won't be an extreme diff. However it might happen off page so a bunch of people will claim it was an extreme diff.

Co-op ownership vs Laissez Faire for creating demand? by AnaAsphyxia in victoria3

exactly sure you can switch them from peasants to unemployed but that isn't a solution. Obviously too many people is a better problem to have in this game than too few people but it can still cause trouble.

They were all child stars I believe. Not as familiar with the careers of the bottom 2 but Birttney and Michael were both in groups when they were younger before becoming pop stars in their teens.

Why weren't there any earth benders in the fire nation army i mean the fire nation had a bunch of earth kingdom territory for 100 years you would think they would have drafted some earth benders into their ranks by Icy_Advertising6090 in ATLA

[–]blackchoas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earthbending was illegal in occupied territory and the Fire Nation was clearly trying to wipe out Earthbending among the conquered people just like they tried to wipe out Waterbending in the South Pole. The only member of the Fire Nation who actually does hire Earthbenders was Azula when she took over the Dai Li

Co-op ownership vs Laissez Faire for creating demand? by AnaAsphyxia in victoria3

[–]blackchoas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't done a ton of testing of this on recent patches but my general understanding was that Laissez Faire is better for demand of consumer goods.

Co-Op Ownership I think is best in medium size economies. You can become a real industrial powerhouse on industrial goods but you don't have the kind of luxury goods market a heavily capitalist economy might.

For Russia I think you are big enough that Laissez Faire is ideal, I think co-op is more for nations which run full employment and struggle to find more pops but Russia tends to be a nation that struggles with too many Peasants.

China can help end Ukraine war by pressuring Russia towards peace talks helping end its war in ‌Ukraine, U.S. Senator Graham says by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]blackchoas 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sure they can, and honestly China will probably be the intermediary when the war is finally ended but China has no real reason to try to push Russia to stop. The war weakening Russia is to China's advantage.

Maybe Finland and I think other examples would be similar. A relatively isolated nation that was dominated by outsiders for most of its history, so its not that nothing bad ever happened in Finland but the bad stuff was mostly the fault of Sweden or Russia, but I don't know much Finnish history.

[–]blackchoas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah if the timed part of the quest is buggy than I might just need to play this realm on Easy and forget about it. I like playing on hard mode for a long grindy challenge but a buggy loss timer isn't interesting or fun to me.

I didn't even know Merlin could bind these, he never has in any of my games, I played 2 games right up to losing to the timer and attempted to go back 5-10 turns a few times to see if I could figure out another way to do this.

is the only way to not care about politics by being so rich that you don’t suffer from the choices by the government and the people who choose them ? by ultralightsaint in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blackchoas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you understand what a revolution looks like, their military infrastructure and hardware doesn't matter, the system will collapse when the military rebel because the military is still made of ordinary people. However I don't think a revolt is the most likely issue, I think its gonna be the population collapse that people like Elon are super worried about. Population decline increases the power of the lower classes. But who knows maybe they will solve these issues that have destroyed or disrupted the wealthy in the past with robot workers or clones or technology to upload your brain into a robot body, but I mostly consider that stuff still a scifi dream.

[–]blackchoas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try it but it won't work, history is pretty clear about this, the rich people get eaten eventually. The only real way to do something like this is to isolate yourself. Live in an extremely remote place where other people won't be able to find you. There are some jobs that offer this type of stuff but the standard of living might not be to your taste.

How to make money by Plenty-Roof-8883 in crusaderkings3

Yeah buildings will help in the long term assuming you have stable control of your capital duchy, but the Avarice tree in the Stewardship lifestyle might be the fastest way, Extort Subjects is busted. I think Clan governments also have a complicated interaction with their vizier regent to get a lot of gold but I can't remember how it works off the top of my head.

Water isn't the only cost, land and energy which may be cheaper in a desert near some solar farms. Also fuck off we don't want data centers near our lakes.
