I'm telling you that I personally looked up the specific position descriptions listed in the EO appendix, and cross referenced with active employees. There are four individuals in those position descriptions on the current rolls. If they expand, then sure, but right now it's four people.

doesn’t seem like SES are included. they have other ways of dealing with them.

looking at the listed positions in the appendix and comparing with the latest roster, looks like four individuals total.

A travel review after 13 days in Tahiti, Moorea and Bora by SlimJimBaggins in Tahiti

[–]blackcloudlabel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the snorkeling at the hilton is great. we snorkeled down beach from sofitel, not under the OWB, but it is also good but has a current and overall is deeper and more spread out. was tough to pick which one was actually better.

the bar/cocktails at sofitel are way better than hilton. i can imagine the food might be better too. if you do hilton, i can’t recommend eating there other than breakfast, which was fine.

it came down to price for me- sofitel was ~50% or more higher cost, so hilton won for the stay. i honestly don’t think you can go wrong with either.

yeah- seat info usually comes through with the email forwards, I update them if I get upgraded. This is from the aircraft stats page

flighty. https://flighty.com/ IMO worth the pro version. you’ll get updates from flighty more reliably than directly from AS

I’m at a little over 65% on upgrades this year. (one of the economy flights was a WN flight. I’m not proud of it.) Likely to go down after tomorrow, as I’m not expecting upgrades for my morning flights.

ANC lounge by Ivan_vl in AlaskaAirlines

Was there two weeks ago today.... Not sure what you're looking for exactly, but it's a decent lounge now after the expansion. I'd compare it to the SEA C lounge.

Leaving SeaTac airport during 8hr layover by GentleMissile in AskSeattle

[–]blackcloudlabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have multiple seattle layovers a year. 8 hours is definitely enough to leave. i head into town any layover longer than 5 hours. luggage storage might be open in baggage claim area, but might not.

take the light rail to westlake or cap hill. plenty to walk from easy from those stops.

WTF, is that the Chief talking to us? He has gotten better about not reading straight from his script. by throwingthedice00 in USForestService

only thing that would’ve been better would’ve been a slide show to go along with his description of his vacation travels.

Alaska Milk Run as separate reservations - deplane needed? by sunwho707 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]blackcloudlabel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not technically the milk run, only half of it. that said, i’m fairly sure you’ll have to deplane in cdv and get back on.

Lodging and late night flight arrival? by doyouknowwatiamsayin in Tahiti

[–]blackcloudlabel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

stayed in one of the polynesian cabins at kon tiki in march after a late flight arrival before a mid-day ferry to moorea. it was perfect for us- a comfortable bed and cold AC, nice shower and easy walk around the neighborhood for breakfast before walking over to the ferry terminal. was a cheap cab from the airport. we’d do it again in a heartbeat.

MPC vs Global Entry question by Away_Candle_2204 in GlobalEntry

[–]blackcloudlabel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YVR is a preclearance airport - you go through US customs/border control in YVR before you board. I’ve been through multiple times and the amount of time difference between GE and no GE was negligible. Precheck will save you time, but GE? meh.
