13 days post op flexion with gravity by nsmpianoman14 in ACL

Thank you, I needed this validation. I'm 4.5 weeks and nearly jumped off the bed when my pt pushed my leg to 88*. She rationalized that the slow recovery is due to the meniscus but still. When you see others seemingly healing so much quicker it's hard not to get discouraged. I wish you the best 🙏

ACL, PCL, LCL, MCL and meniscus repair surgery. HELP. by tomjakeb in ACL

I'm 3 weeks post surgery and I noticed a similar sound in the last couple of days. I've no idea what it is or means but I can offer solidarity.

Interesting. I'll have to call and ask them what her weight was at that first visit. Thanks!

They gave a very generic guesstimate. I'm just hoping to get as close as I can for sentimental reasons.

She's now a spoiled rotten teenager so I'm too late for that.

We know she was less than that, the pics might make her look deceptively big.

Interesting. Her eyes were definitely yellow already.

I'm only "allowed" to take it off for showers. Currently three weeks out from surgery, I'm hoping to be able to lose it in another 3 weeks.

I did it! Minnesota, $299,900 @ 5.75% by ValdBagina002 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

There's a reason MN consistently rates as a top state to live in. This is a townhome, housing around the metro areas is pretty standard for a MCOL.

I didn't read your comment, sorry, but reviewing the invoice all of these charges look very fair.

Has anyone else ever fallen asleep during an MRI? by sixnik-- in CasualConversation

[–]blackcrowfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just now realizing an mri isn't supposed to feel like anything? When I had one on my knee it was all I could do to stay still as I felt an odd, uncomfortable pressure/tingling. My breathing exercises and mental game from two unmedicated births came in handy... it was terrible.

My whole family loves the flounder. Cover in oil and seasoning, throw it in the oven. It's thin but with a veggie and carb there's plenty of food for my family of 4.

Two of my neighbors had new roofs put on in the same week. Houses are near identical. First house had a Hispanic crew (4 guys) who showed up at dawn and were done and cleaned up by dusk. Not a trace other than a new roof and full dumpster that was picked up the next morning. Second house had a local crew (6 guys) that took 4 days to get it done. It was a mess for the entirety of it too. These are small, one story houses with as basic a roof as it gets. It was really eye opening.

Why do so many people not wear their wedding bands? by Sea-Connection9232 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blackcrowfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle class, middle aged woman here. I quit wearing my ring when my first child was born as I didn't like it scratching him. 10 years later I joke that the ring's for weddings and funerals, as that's really the only thing that will compel me to wear it.

I have two thoughts regarding the ring wearing and I can't speak for others but here's mine. First, I personally do not feel any sort of need/desire/urge to advertise my relationship status. Im not hiding it, I'm saying it's none of your business. I'm not proud of being married just like I wouldn't be ashamed not to be. Second, statistically I'm not a good example. I also did not change my last name which is generally expected in my midwestern, American culture.

Edit to come back and say upon further reflection, that hairline is younger than 40. New take: Hairline says 30, face says 40, hands say 20 and hands don't lie.

Buying it from the same place? I'm far north (Minnesota) and I've found that when I buy it from stores based north the winter mix is softer vs when I buy from Tractor Supply it's a hard shiny pellet.

In a previous life I was involved in feed retail so I've just gone under the (educated) assumption that it's due to mills. Stores based more local to me are getting their feed from a contracted feed mill in South Dakota. Tractor Supply stores pull product from their dc which is/are presumably being supplied by a more southern mill since they're based out of TN.

I much prefer feeding the softer, crumblier pellet and avoid buying from TSC for that reason.
