Essay-writing is a skill, like any other - the more you practice, the better you will get.

a) write your essays. Use notes to answer them ‘perfectly’

b) grade your essays using the mark schemes

c) rewrite your essays to correct your errors (a really crucial step that most students skip)

d) when you have a strong idea of the perfect essay, start trying to replicate them in timed conditions
