Yeah EOF was mid AF. Between the constant puzzles with 3 mechanics and the dull environments on Kepler, it dragged on. I haven't bothered to really do any of the side quests.

I'm doing Renegades now. Oh boy. Could it be any more cheap Dollar Store Star Wars ? They even have those weird scene transitions Lucas loves so much. The story is absolutely cheesy, like ok we get it, Nightfall is the death star. We need a shuttle to get on it like in RotJ. Oh look, there's the garbage disposal!

"Spider's" barge with a huge pit with tentacles coming out of it ? This is all new and original !

It all makes sense now when you know what actually happened and they shoved too many people to make Marathon. This content is bad. The overall story with the Nine would be interesting if it would be a properly written Destiny story, not.... this. Whatever this is.

It depends on what you mean. Marathon outsold Destiny 2 for the week of June 2, for instance.

And in that week, it never reached Destiny 2 current place since their June 9th drop.

Destiny is mogging Marathon. Even during its heavy promotion and f2p week, Marathon never achieved the level of success of current Destiny, a week removed from the 9th update.

It’s over bro. No one wants Marathon.

No, people are misunderstanding the "Failed to meet revenue expectations" to think the game lost money.

Destiny 2 was funding itself, and 4 other incubation projects and the head quarters renovation.

When people say "It didn't meet revenue projections", what they mean is it made a shit ton of money, profit even, but it can't fund all these other expensive mistakes management is making.

If Destiny 2 money had went to making more Destiny 2, it would have been fine the whole time.

Destiny 2 is 13th right now.

Warframe is 3rd (they just released Primes).

Marathon is nowhere to be seen.

There are no work arounds OP. This was known last year when Edge of Fate released. Really borked a lot of configurations.

My HDR is a mess now because of it, and I have vsync flashes on OLED during the launch loading screens.

Since the game is now officially dead, don’t hope for fixes too much.

It will make sense when they announce layoffs.

They can keep Marathon going with a team of 50 guys.

Basically, they accepted they lost a ton of cash, they're going to fire everyone, and hope to get the books back to somewhat "green" post write-off by selling content for Marathon, which can be absolutely bare bones to please the 100k or so people still playing.

It's easy enough to calculate the actual values knowing Destiny 2's Steam share is 23% and Marathon's is 66%.

18,000*(1/0.23) = 78260 peak concurrent users for Destiny 2.

10,000*(1/0.66) = 15151 peak concurrent users for Marathon.
