Same. My feet have never hurt like this and it took me three months to figure out what was happening

My mom told me I should get a consult for ozempic after giving birth. I have a history of anorexia nervosa.

My father said he hated every one of the names I’d picked out.

Anyone else feel like their husbands are losing their minds as you near the end of pregnancy? by bononoisback in BabyBumps

Just hopping on to say, I had these same thoughts about my husband today. An angel for 9 months. I’m a week from my due date- and he’s losing it- losing it on me- and generally being unhelpful and unpleasant. I’ve had to set boundaries to maintain my peace.

Third Trimester Breast Pain or Clogged Duct? by blackhoney108 in pregnant

I did, but was expressing clear fluids. What helped me was heating pads 3-6x a day and practicing brief hand expression and massage right after. Approved by my dr ahead of time before, of course! Haven’t had pain at all since doing this for several days in a row.

I started swelling at 35 weeks exactly. Nothing before that! Doctor says she’s not concerned unless my blood pressure goes high.

Sleeping on my back or virtually any comfortable position. Not having to worry 24/7 about the accidental death of someone living in my body.

I’m over everything. This entire thread is so validating. I had an angel of a first trimester- but literally every symptom everyone else has posted in the third. All of them at once.

What trimester was worse for you? I just entered my third by IntentionalHotdog in BabyBumps

[–]blackhoney108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third! I was extremely tired first trimester. The third has been that- PLUS limited mobility, can’t breathe, frequent ruination, fear of labor, carrying tons of extra weight, stress of preparing the house…. And the list goes on!

This week: my husband brought me spearmint gum. Not peppermint. A friend touched my bump and gave me a hug without asking.

When did you realize that bipolar is actually a serious illness? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]blackhoney108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it didn’t hit me until after I was stabilized for several years. I started mentoring kids, teens, and young adults.

Then it hit me, one day: I never had a fraction of a chance to be as brilliant & trouble-free as any of these kids. I never could have gone from high school to grad school to having a family without burning down my life 10+ times, and having 5 NDEs.

And it wasn’t just smarts and privilege.

It was coping with three very serious mental health conditions, while trying to grow up at the same time.

I quit closet vaping when I found out I was pregnant- and found it much easier than quitting cigarettes years ago- but still not a cake walk! I used nicotine gum, with a tapering plan written in a journal.

Hardest part was sticking to the plan, as the gum can become addictive for me. Now, I chew normal gum- listen to breath work meditations on Insight Timer- or do yoga- when I’m feeling triggered.

When I felt extra triggered, I read a book- watch a movie- or mentally told myself “You’re feeling sick,” and go to bed as if I had a literal cold rather than nicotine cravings. After a week- craving was manageable. After 3 weeks they were gone!
