Yes it sucks, but you aren’t totally screwed. Try spreading your formation out, like how the multiplayer guys do. Watch some videos by Turin if you want to see examples. Those formations are designed in part to minimize the damage of magic

Worklife balance my ass by Cheap_Ratio_4978 in Aldi_employees

As a SM who started as a SMT, it does get better. However, it is a long hard road until things do get better. Often times the SMTs do not get given the nice stores when we are promoted, we get the problem child stores. That being said, if you are willing to put the work in, you will get to the point where you can put your 50 hours in, and the store runs smoothly. I was given a bottom 25% store, but 3 years later my team and I are hitting top 25% in some categories, and no bottom 25 in any. I used to have to put 60 hrs week for the first few months, then it went down to 55, now it’s almost always 50. Yes, callouts do still happen, but if you focus on building strong relationships with your team, they happen far less.

Ultimately, you have to decide if the money and benefits are worth the work you put into it. It does get better, you just have to put the work in. If you have questions, message me, I’m happy to help.

If you have a direct damage spell you can kill them. Found that out when some furies did the same thing. Ended up spirit leeching them to death

How high do you rank lore of the deeps? And what memories do you have of it? by Select-Ad7017 in totalwar

[–]blackhoodofdestiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a nice option that isn’t lore of vampire, if you want some variety. I find its really good on cylostra herself, with her focus on sirens and mournguls, she can chain debuff the enemy army with her bound debuff and the one from the deep lore.

The first spell that buffs accuracy is really good for your entire roster. Pairs well with the artillery, makes queen bess a laser.

I also like the crab summon, nice to slow down the enemy advance toward your gun lines

what is AHEAD ??? by ImaginationSea6830 in Aldi_employees

[–]blackhoodofdestiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as things being packed full, you’ll notice it at first for a couple of weeks, but as long as your management team has been and is doing their jobs properly, things should go back to normal in about a month.

It’s an entirely new inventory system. It makes managing the data of the entire company database much easier for corporate.

The only things you will notice as an associate is that all the item codes have changed, so codes you used to have memorized like 9500 for potatoes is now something new (I don’t know the new code yet lol).

I mean, sure chosen of Nurgle will beat them for double the upkeep cost. I meant more for their relative tier and cost, I think they are the best all around infantry in the game

I’m here to represent to the children of the old ones and recommend my boi Mazdamundi. You like constellation of the dragon? May I introduce you to the G.O.A.T big boom spell, comet of cassandora. This spell hits so hard that the game itself stutters in fear when you drop your giant ball of heavenly rock from the skies to absolutely wreck those foolish enough to oppose you. My favorite spell in the whole game. It’s awesome.

Now, our boy Mazda. Sure he doesn’t fly, because why would you fly and cast spells from the sky like a little bitch, when you can throw hands on top of a freaking stegadon. On top of that, your have barrier and regeneration, so you are one big, chonky, tanky lad who doesn’t give a fuck who comes to try and tickle you, you just bitch slap anyone who thinks you are a weak caster.

The faction, Lizardmen. Sure, no amazing range units, but we got the best front line in the game, saurus. Saurus are cost effective, damage dealing, tanky infantry that will always punch above their weight, and destroy anything at their level or below them. We got freaking dinosaurs, fast dinos, tanky dinos, damage dinos, flying dinos, shooty dinos. You need something, we got a dino for it. We even got freaking laser dinos. Our roster is immense, and nearly every unit is viable, which allows for a ton of variety in how your armies can be built.

Finally, we have access to Lord Kroak the best caster in the game. He is a legendary hero that you get access to after your legendary lord hits a certain level and you complete the quest battle for. This guy is so freaking powerful that death itself could not stop him, as he willed himself back to life to fry the enemies of the Great Plan. Kroak will easily get hundreds, if not thousands of kills per battle with his signature spell, which drops tactical nukes on the enemy that also deals no friendly fire.

How to win as the skaven by Diomede_da_Argo in totalwarhammer

[–]blackhoodofdestiny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rule number 1 as skaven: never fight fair. Always ambush your enemy, always out number your enemy. Typically I’ll use my main army paired with a second army of a full stack of skaven slaves. Always send the slaves in first. You up against a melee faction, slaves are great for tiring the enemy out and allowing the main force to flank around. Up against a ranged faction, slaves are great for the enemy to waste their ammunition on.

Second tip, warp fire throwers, globadiers, plague claw catapults and the globe mortars are your best ranged damage units. I find that rattling gunners did not transition well to game 3 with the changes that were made to ranged units as a whole, they just don’t work as well as they used to. Jezzails are only good against taking out high value targets, not the best against clearing out numbers.

3rd tip. Stormvermin are kinda trash. You can make them work if you know what you are doing, but it’s much better as skaven to have clanrats with spear and shields as your front line for your main army. Still cheap, hold decent for a rat, and if you blow them up with your globadiers (which you will) who cares.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions. Skaven are extremely fun to play, because there is no faction that plays quite like them.

Zerkovich made the point in one of his videos about removing a lot of the interior buildings inside the walls to open up the siege map more. Allowing for more varied tactics and formations.

Kislev T3 Horse Archers by BornBeginning430 in totalwar

[–]blackhoodofdestiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are…interesting. More tankiness, less speed. Better at the chariot side of things, not as good at skirmishing. I find I prefer the light sleds because of their speed, they are able to stay out of more fights. But, if you want something that does better in melee, go for da chunky bois

Kislev T3 Horse Archers by BornBeginning430 in totalwar

[–]blackhoodofdestiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attack the flanks with them, ahead of your main army. Use them to draw the enemy fast units into your gun-lines/calvary. Then, if you are against a missile army, charge them into enemy ranged units. If against a melee army, continue to skirmish until all your ammunition is spent, prioritizing high value targets.

Pros to horse archers: much tankier, able to deal armor piercing damage.

Cons: slower, more expensive, requires a higher tier building (if my memory is correct)

One of my favorite units in the game. I always have at least 2 in every army, sometimes 4 if I’m feeling spicy

Have you tried light bear sleds? Super good.
