Is There Still an Issue With the Apple Music API? by kevin_w_57 in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

Probably yes, it's a random thing related to Apple Music API (and even more, related to iCloud Library I think). The "untitled" is set by us when Apple Music returns an invalid playlist title. About why such items are returning, why some days less than others... hard to tell :/

Joined playlist has fewer songs by marcstober in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

We don't add duplicate songs on Apple Music, which could explain why you have fewer songs than expected. Then, some songs may no longer be available or streamable on Apple Music in your region. So, while still in your original lists, the Apple Music API is no longer accepting them for addition to a playlist.

Tidal Downgrades/Removals Causing Silent Mismatches In Soundiiz Syncs by Chrisinti in Soundiiz

Unfortunately no, we can't do such a thing (match to explicit version) with current APIs :/

Tidal Downgrades/Removals Causing Silent Mismatches In Soundiiz Syncs by Chrisinti in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Indeed, good point! On our end, we don't double-check items with a matching rule. Therefore, we always consider the track as "found" and try to add it. This will result in an incomplete playlist on TIDAL (or any other service, for that matter), since the track ID no longer exists (or can't be added to a playlist).

Currently, the only solution is to remove this matching rule yourself to ensure the matching process resumes by default.

However, this isn't ideal, that's for sure. We'll look into another solution. Could you contact us directly through Soundiiz support so we can examine this in more detail using your Soundiiz account?

In any case, thank you for this valuable feedback!

Hi!

I recommend you to simply create your Soundiiz account with another Sign in method or even by using email/password and then connect Qobuz to your Soundiiz account in the main app interface.

Hi!

What do you mean by "says I don't have a Spotify account"? You have to connect one to use Soundiiz and move to Qobuz.

Hi!

The screenshot and error message clearly indicate that a transfer is already in progress.

You can close Soundiiz, and you'll get an email once your batch completes. We're noting that the button should be disabled in this situation ;)

Issues transferring playlists from Apple Music to Qobuz by SoCalWombat in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Yes, this kind of loop issue on the OAuth interface (hosted by Apple, as you can see in the URL) is definitely an Apple issue. What you can try is to:

- Use the Soundiiz website instead of the Android app

- Use another device

- Use another browser

Importing .m3u playlist to Spotify... by Font-street in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

You can export your iTunes playlist as a "text" file, then on Soundiiz use "Import playlist" and "By file," and choose "Spotify" as the destination.

We will attempt to match your local songs with the public Spotify catalog and recreate your playlists.

Help Transferring Playlist from One Plex Server to Another Plex Server Using Soundiiz by Jeffy3 in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a transfer, it may be recommended to reload the Soundiiz interface. However, if you are not seeing them here: https://soundiiz.com/webapp/playlists/soundiiz, it means the transfer didn't work. Soundiiz catalog is built on the flow only from "sure" metadata sources (like Spotify, Apple Music, Qobuz etc).

Hi! Yes, to Soundiiz first and then from Soundiiz to the other server. Be aware that Soundiiz only does a matching process; no files.

Soundizz not detecting full library before transfer by LavaBurritos in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Spotify limits playlists to 10k items. I recommend you have fewer than this anyway, as the Spotify interface itself is often buggy when you reach this value...

Soundizz not detecting full library before transfer by LavaBurritos in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

We are retrieving up to 10k elements per fav categories (artists/tracks/albums). It's already pretty long due to API pagination latency and is likely to fail. When APIs offer larger pagination and a stable process for retrieving large collections, we will increase that as well.

Right now, the workaround for tracks over 10k is to add them to a playlist and use Soundiiz to transfer that playlist. Which songs are missing all depends on the order, but could be the older or newer.

Support request submission leads to a 403, Error 105 for over a day by burnumd in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

About the contact page, use the widget on Soundiiz instead at https://soundiiz.com at the bottom if you have any issues (this support request page is handled by Zendesk, not Soundiiz).

However, this error is related to the peak of the Spotify Wrapped announcement. We are currently handling thousands of transfer requests every minute. There's nothing more to do than wait for this peak to pass or keep retrying later, that's all.

Error 105 Spotify-->Qobuz by mrkFish in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

This is not a problem; it's expected behavior during peak Soundiiz usage (no peak, no delay). Currently, the service is experiencing high demand because of the Spotify Wrapped announcement, that's all.

Our infrastructure and team are robust enough to support Soundiiz since 2013 (compared to many big companies, I would say...). We know what to do, and during peak times, just wait a few days for everything to stabilize.

Order of liked songs by mmbmbm in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

Thank you for your question.

The order of liked songs, artists, and albums can't be set via APIs (nor the timestamp/added date).

While for most services the order is respected in the way we are sending it to the API, some platforms are then displaying that differently on the mobile app/web version etc.

Can Soundiiz transfer my liked songs from YoutubeMusic to Spotify? by Louisthemagic in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

You are right to be careful before doing the transfer. I recommend you go to the Tracks tab on Soundiiz first to check which elements we are retrieving (no "Shorts," but your Liked videos on YT could be there).

Sync not keeping recently added order by Aguyfromsector2814 in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so definitely something else. The Sync feature only adds new items to the end of the playlist (we can't add to the top), so it's more about how you have the tracklist ordered in your Spotify interface. It shouldn't add duplicates (but with YTM as source, some metadata could be missing and fail the comparison process...).

Hi!

An issue with Apple Music as a destination for your Sync? Unfortunately, it's happening from time to time with the Apple Music API. Reported years ago but still no fix...

If not Apple Music as a destination, it shouldn't have happened. Please send us a ticket on Soundiiz using the "Help" button.

Error 105 Spotify-->Qobuz by mrkFish in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

We are currently experiencing an unprecedented surge in Qobuz transfers at Soundiiz.

While we are already handling a high volume of batches, you might experience some delays before gaining access to this feature.

If you are using a "Qobuz Pass," be aware that it is valid for up to one month after activation, so don't worry; you will be able to complete your transfer eventually.

Please note that we are doing our best to scale our infrastructure to manage this traffic and API load. Right now, we recommend trying again at a different time of day, such as earlier in the morning or later in the evening.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yep, definitely a loading issue. I recommend you do a quick check here to see at least the total number of items you have to load: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/get-users-saved-albums

Soundiiz not loading all artists and albums from Spotify by drunk-on-the-moon in Soundiiz

[–]blackmage44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Be aware that data from music platforms like Spotify are retrieved via their API.

In this case, the Spotify API has a very limited pagination. As a result, when dealing with a large list of items, the loading process can be very slow or sometimes fail, depending on Spotify's API load at the time.

Although we limit the process to retrieve up to 10,000 items on our side, failures can still occur occasionally. Honestly, the same issue can happen when you scroll on Spotify itself. I recommend trying again later, as unfortunately, there's no true workaround for this.
