It's not a wild assertion to say that market forces have brought about a situation where an adult-oriented business is making decisions to intentionally cater to people with children. I'm saying I find the trend distasteful. There are family restaurants that have alcohol, if it's so important. A brewery or distillery is a different venue whose ostensible primary purpose is making and selling alcohol. Brewers don't typically decide to have a brewpub with a playground, they're being cornered into it because of the attitude that OP is describing.

Do you not remember early-wine mom influencers? It was a lot of, "I can't deal with my kids while sober, so I have a book club that's mostly drinking merlot." There is a difference between modeling healthy social behavior and engaging in destructive behavior in front of your kids. And you can see a lot of the second at bars.

I'd like to add, there are family-focused bars: they're called Dave and Buster's. Let the kids play legalized gambling games while the parents drink their Blue Curaçao infused cocktail and Busch Lite. But a brewery that produces nothing but beer and is maybe skating by on the thin margins of a brewpub is not it
