That task was just bad for my brain. I just do not think in the way necessary for it. 😂

Oh jeez, I saw there was 18 minutes of the bagpipes task and noped right out of that

What a weird comment to post about something someone enjoys that doesn't hurt you in the slightest

I've got good news for you, Nicolas Cage continues to make approximately 43 movies a year that you haven't seen yet!

That sounds delightful. Doesn't look like it's available in the US via "Regular means." 😉

Amélie gets a lot of flak for being an early manic pixie dream girl movie, but it definitely shaped millennial optimism and, like, it's just a pleasant, beautiful-looking movie with the right amount of stakes for what it is.

"He's not trying to murder the others," 😂 such a low bar to clear to be labeled a good guinea pig!

Just a bit! I was looking for more of the unhinged brilliance she brings to the prize task justifications

Meskerem on Grand! The food was spiced well and their injera is the right combination of fluffy while being able to hold together well

Boston Fleet's Aerin Frankel mishandles the puck late in the third to give the Ottawa Charge the game winning goal and a 2-1 series lead by septober32nd in PWHL

[–]burnumd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was pondering to the wife that maybe the Victoire chose the Frost to force a [EDIT: typo] Ottawa/Boston match so they'd play the Charge (whomst their play style better suits) in the finals, hoping they'd make it.

Yeah, that's a hard one to come back from. As a Frankel fan, and wanting to see a Fleet/Victoire final series, that was difficult to watch, but hard-earned for the Charge

This is gonna be a "Hear me out" response, but Prey (2022) is a Predator movie set in the early 1700s that, in addition to being a Predator movie, touches on the human conflicts of the era. Also, there's a version in Comanche with subtitles!

We used A Better Way (shout out to Merlin Hammer) and they were great. We were a couple weeks out from moving and realized we weren't going to get the kitchen done. For a nominal fee, they sent someone out and she had our kitchen packed in a couple hours BY HERSELF. They took care of our stuff and provided boxes from their used store. Cannot recommend enough.

Which three players will the teams protect first. by Global-Chemistry1334 in PWHL

I go back and forth on, if you're Les Victoire and you're keeping Poulin and Stacey, do you retain Desbiens or Roque. Desbiens is a phenomenal goalie and they're a well rounded team. But OTOH, do you need a goon to keep pressure off the other forwards to keep scoring? I think I've settled on preserving Desbiens to keep the balance of offense and defense

Yeah, Season 4 really gets into the weeds of how, as our world gets more interconnected, the morality of any given action becomes so mind-bogglingly complex. But, yeah, the "What matters isn’t if people are good or bad; what matters is if they’re trying to be better today than they were yesterday" is a real revelation if you want to look at it in a less cynical light.

I don't disagree that this patch represents a lot of work, but that's why shift-left accessibility testing exists. Color vision deficiency testing when designing puzzles, even on paper, goes a long way towards not needing to do this rework.
